This is a part-time position (approximately 30 hours per week), on-site in our office in Champaign, IL.\nPlease submit your resume and cover letter in a single PDF file.\nWhat you will do as an entry-level accounting assistant:\nReview and verify employee travel and expense reimbursements for accuracy and compliance with ARA policies\nProcess employee reimbursements for payment in a timely manner\nEnter general ledger (GL) codes and descriptions to company credit card expenses\nEnter vouchers and journal entries into the Costpoint accounting system\nManage electronic accounts payable and report archives\nCreate data entry forms using MS Access\nEngage in team meetings surrounding deadlines, goals, and projects the team supports\nEntry-level accounting assistant requirements:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\nHighly efficient computer skills with the ability and willingness to learn new programs/skills\nFamiliarity with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word\nDetail-oriented, proactive, and organized with a strong work ethic\nCustomer service focused with excellent time management and prioritization skills\nSelf-motivated with the ability to manage independent tasks and/or projects\nRequires ability to:\nCommunicate effectively (both verbal and written)\nEnter data accurately into computer systems\nThink critically and pay acute attention to details\nBuild relationships and work collaboratively with team members\nWork independently and take ownership of individual tasks\nFamiliarity with accounting procedures preferred\nThe anticipated wage range for this position is $20-26/hr, depending on experience.
