He/she is part of a team and provides specialist support, in a context of increased complexity of projects and fast changes while maintaining conformity to design intent, codes, standards and quality .Products include steam turbines, heat exchangers, generators and pumps.\nThe role covers new build and service activities.\nDisciplines: Welding, Metallurgy, Materials Science and Engineering.\n1.1 Role & Responsibilities\nThe role consists in:\nSupport material selection appropriate to equipment design and function.\nSupport the maintenance and development of specifications for welding within the context of any applied codes and standards, e.g. Pressure Equipment Directive.\nSupport the review of supplier derogation requests and non-conformance reports related to welding and heat treatment.\nSupport internal manufacturing activities.\nPromote the department’s expertise and uphold company values and ethics.\nEnsure compliance with company-specific EHS rules and instructions.\nResponsibilities:\nThe Welding Engineer shall:\nProvide support to Products and Services related to welding activities, and design related to welding.\nSupport review of technical reports.\nSupport the technical assessment of non-conformance reports and supplier derogation requests.\nParticipate in cost reduction activities related to material streamlining and harmonization of legacy specifications.\nDevelop and introduce new manufacturing technologies.\nMaintain positive interfaces with other technical disciplines.\nMaintain positive interfaces with projects in Products and Services.\nMaintain a positive technical interface with the manufacturing network in Arabelle Solutions and external suppliers in charge of the components manufacturing.\nProvide feedback experience to the group (feedback meetings with suppliers and internal, feedback reports)\nProvide coaching and mentoring of developing Engineers.\nSupport supplier improvement and supply chain development.\nJoin us and work with global teams to support global customers !
