Diversity and an inclusive mindset makes us and our business stronger.\nManufacturing manager of new product line of turbine and generator is accountable for the conceptualization, management and integration of new site construction activities and respective manufacturing processes to ensure on time execution of project and commencement of production with quality products as per business and internalization plan. In addition, they are knowledgeable on Manufacturing processes, current manufacturing technologies including automation and digitalization, supervision of site construction, erection and commissioning of structure and building according to design and specifications with thorough risk assessment in line with EHS framework. Demonstrate appropriate leadership behaviors to guide the team. Drive and coordinate the execution with (SQDC)Zero deviation in Safety and Quality.Managing and instructing the site supervisors, engineers, workers, setting their schedules, and monitoring their performance.\nEnsure 100% EHS compliance for daily operations within factory and at project sites.\nPromote diversity, equity, and inclusion as walk-the-talk of leadership quality.\nEnsuring all health and safety guidelines are followed strictly. Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment.\n\nConducting regular site inspections and addressing any potential hazards immediately\n\nMonitor and maintain the high-quality work during construction work and change management.\n\nAssesses safety in day-to-day work and takes care of the necessary permits.\n\nDrive project schedule and site readiness (Plan v/s Actual)\n\nEnsure integration and interfaces across all activities of project and anticipate the requirements with problem solving attitude\n\nPrepare and follow blueprint of future-ready factory operations and implement initiatives in various areas using state-of-the-art technologies and smart factory concepts (Including automation, digitization, robotics, machine learning, paper less factory etc.)\nEnsure that the business strategy is translated and cascaded down with implementation throughout the functional areas.\nDrive early integration of lean principles in process development for new product introductions, and hands-on initiatives to drive process improvement.\nDrive manufacturing excellence initiatives such as sustainability, smart manufacturing, and operational efficiency measurements including throughput, labor hours, cycle time, product cost & overall productivity.\nStrive excellence in the manufacturing processes to benchmark them against best in the world to emerge as Center of Excellence (COE) in large nuclear steam turbine manufacturing as well as service repairing.\nDaily monitoring and progress report out to leadership and overseeing the progress of all construction activities.\nDeep understanding of Nuclear & Services Projects Customer Mindset and able to cascade the requirements within organization\n\nMaintain housekeeping (5S), guide, monitor and supervise compliance with all safety standard, environment policy and norms (in line with ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 19443, ISO 3834-2 etc.) to ensure safe and healthy working environment.\n\nKnowledge of safe working load (SWL), Signals, slinging, anchored loads, unstable loads, winches, routine, and non-routine lifting activities, Thorough understanding technical knowledge of overhead cranes and mobile cranes and basic requirement of maintenance checks and general guidance for all cranes and hoist operation of before, during and after lift.\n\nLeads and coaches team members in a positive manner to maximize their potential and their contributions to key performance goals for the company.\n\nAssists in production/construction scheduling to ensure optimal utilization of equipment and people for best possible results\n\nCreate awareness among team to raise stop work/quality concern on small deviations, unsafe act/unsafe conditions during work.\n\nClosely work with Process engineer/engineering team for any improvement on current manufacturing process/new upcoming projects\n\nIdentify training need of the team based on the skill assessment and new project requirement.\n\nControl, Organize, monitor production operations as per plan, implement corrective action as necessary. Make recovery plan for delays, implement, and ensure targets agreed are achieved\n\nEnsure correct allocation of resources to make the Lean concepts deployment a\n\nundefined\n\nLead and guide the team to develop & execute objectives for self & others with alignment to short-term & long-term business goals of the organization.\n\nConduct Gemba walk to improve EHS & 5S in the respective area of the shop\n\nResponsible for execution cost (estimate Vs actual)\n\nDrive new product qualification and prepare related documentation.\n\nOptimizing utilization of resources to achieve the production target based on bar chart of proposed delivery schedule. Plan and ensure availability of material and resources to achieve target\n\nDesired skill set:\nDemonstrated integrity - accept and adhere to high ethical, moral, and personal values in decisions, communications, and actions when dealing with others\n\nLean Mindset and understanding of lean and quality tool. (VSM, PFMEA, A3, 8D, 5S, 3P, 6sigma, SPS etc.)\n\nUnderstanding of new and relevant technologies and systems, such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, robotics, industry trends, and best practices smart manufacturing, advanced digital technologies to enhance efficiency, adaptability, and sustainability.\n\nAbility to coordinate activities of different teams / projects/suppliers/contractors\n\nThorough knowledge of heavy fabrication, machining and assembly processes, Know-how of steam turbine is beneficial.\n\nExperience in heavy fabrication, machining and assembly\n\nBasic Knowledge of Heat treatment processes\n\nUnderstanding of safe practice and risk related welding process and EHS requirements\n\nProper understand a Welding document like, WPS, Welding book & Welding sketch/types of welding joints (Geometry and Symbols) and different positions\n\nKnowledge of GMAW Welding Process - Welding Position: PC, PF-Butt & PF, PD-Fillet.\n\nKnowledge of SAW Welding Process with higher thickness - Welding Position-PA.\n\nGood knowledge of welding sequence for control a distortion during welding.\n\nKnowledge of inspection requirements and welding quality/defects impacts, visual inspection criteria\n\nKnowledge of defect/discontinuity of fabrication processes\n\nKey machining process - CNC turning, Milling, boring, tooling, Job set up, inspection/quality method, depth knowledge of welding, fit up, oxy cutting, rolling, bending, heat treatment, blasting, DT and NDT inspection.\n\nGood knowledge of welding sequence for control a distortion during welding.\n\nThorough understanding of Engineering Drawings, Standards and Specifications\n\nCome up with the alternative approach while raising a problem or a challenge\n\nAble to work cross functional teams to generate customer solutions as the final goal\n\nAbility to identify and implement cost reduction strategies based upon process improvements and experience.\n\nAbility to develop credibility with employees, manager, and peers\n\nHigh attention to detail and accuracy of every task and anticipate the future risks or challenges in advance.\n\nBasic Qualifications(requirements):\nBE/BTech/Diploma in Mechanical /Production min 10 years of relevant experience - min 5-year core experience of Manufacturing/method of heavy machining and assembly, fabrication of turbine casings or similar types of product line.\nJoin us and work with global teams to support global customers !
