Drive the culture of continuous improvements and take lean initiatives.Drive and coordinate the execution of Machine Shop operations, machining and assembly processes related to machining wing to wing with (SQDC)Zero deviation in Safety and Quality. Ensure alignment of different stakeholders to achieve OTD & shop Utilization.\nResponsibilities:\nDefine and finalize the manufacturing process in the form of MOPs , MPPs, Work instructions & DRs for every component of fabrication component well in advance to the start of production. \nPrepare Nesting & calculate plate requirements in detail for every project of fabrication. Calculate Fixturing item requirement also.\nPreparation of delivery lists for dispatch.\nValidation of MOP Hours and process steps with shop.\nCoordinate and support Shop Planner for project scheduling, resource mapping. and provide industrial scheme for sub-contract process & bought-out item based on current capacity & resource of shop.\nIdentifies & resolves technical issues prior to the start and during the production processes.\nProvide NCR dispositions and coordinate with engineering as applicable and implement corrective actions in future jobs.\nRecord the learnings and process improvements and sustain through continuous updating of manufacturing process.\nUsage of various quality and lean tools viz. VSM, PFMEA, 8D, KAIZEN and 5S\nEmpower and support shop engineers & supplier for process change suggestions and implementation.\nDrive new product qualification and prepare related documentation.\nContinuously improve manufacturing process\nUses technical experience and analytical thinking.\nKey Performance Indicators:\nEHS and Lean\nOn Time Delivery\nCOPQ (Cost of Poor Quality) control\nNew product qualification\nRoot cause analysis & Risk assessment\nContinuous improvement & Cost reduction\nDesired Skill set:\nGood process engineering capabilities and analytical skills.\nThorough knowledge of all fabrication processes.\nKey fabrication process - CNC Oxy cutting, Plate bending & Rolling, Fit-up assembly, Welding Assembly, PWHT, Blasting, painting and inspection/quality & NDT method.\nThorough understanding of Engineering Drawings, Standards and Specifications\nStrong EHS & quality focus\nStrong interpersonal and leadership skills\nGood Software skills (AutoCAD, Catia, SAP)\nGood knowledge of ASME, EN, IBR, IS standard.\nStrong oral and written communication skills\nAbility to identify and implement cost reduction strategies based upon process improvements and experience.\nAbility to develop credibility with employees, manager, and peers\nHigh attention to detail and accuracy of every task and Anticipate the future risks or challenges in advance\nVendor development skills for new products and processes development.\nDemonstrated integrity - accept and adhere to high ethical, moral, and personal values in decisions, communications, and actions when dealing with others.\nResolves internal issues quickly to meet customer expectations\nCome up with the alternative approach while raising a problem or a challenge\nAble to work cross functional teams to generate customer solutions as the final goal.\nRequired Qualifications:\nBE/BTech/Diploma in Mechanical /Production min 5 years of relevant experience - min 2 year core experience of production/process of heavy fabrication.\nJoin us and work with global teams to support global customers !
