You will supervise the installation, stripdown, inspection, maintenance activities, and reassembly of power units and their auxiliaries, ranging from 2MW to 2000MW. Your mission is to deliver world-class execution safely, on budget, and with the highest quality.\nLocation: This position requires at least 80% of your time to be spent working on customer sites.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing:\nAct as Nominated Supervisor or Nominated Competent Person under the Safe System of Work.\n\nReview and manage Work Permits and ensure safety from the system through isolations before commencement of work.\n\nPrepare and implement Risk Assessments & Method Statements.\n\nConduct daily walk down of the work areas ‘Hazard Hunts’ and document of same in Gen Suite.\n\nEnsure all tools and equipment are certified and fit for use.\n\nAttend site briefings and communicate key updates to your team.\n\nManage internal and external craft personnel, ensuring compliance to company Safety & Quality processes, procedures and Health & Safety legislation.\n\nMonitor efficient use of materials, tooling, and resources.\n\nInterpret engineering drawings and technical instructions.\n\nWork under strict Foreign Material Exclusion rules.\n\nUnderstand all aspects of mechanical engineering measuring techniques to very high tolerances and standards, monitoring of measurements.\n\nAdherence to Outage Schedules, assist with coordinating & prioritisation of critical path activities.\n\nManage quality control documentation, filling in of Quality documents - Inspection Record Sheets.\n\nAssist in management of shift log books & outage schedules (activities, events, agreemements, problems, work completed etc.)\n\nEvaluate craft labor performance and provide feedback.\n\nCommunicate effectively with site management and stakeholders.\n\nWhat You Bring:\nNVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Studies, or a recognized time-served apprenticeship / City & Guilds.\n\nExtensive knowledge of steam turbines, generator technology, and large rotating/static machinery.\n\nStrong technical capability in interpreting engineering documents and safety protocols.\n\nComfortable with digital tools.\n\nFluent in English.\n\nValid driving license.\n\nWillingness to travel extensively for field assignments.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nECITB Supervisory Accreditations.\n\nIOSH or NEBOSH certifications.\n\nHNC or HND in Mechanical Engineering.\n\nExperience with Alstom, GE, Siemens, or other OEM equipment.\n\nAbility to empower others, coordinate effectively, and communicate with clarity.\n\nProven ability to coordinate teams and deliver results under pressure.\n\nTravel Requirements:\nThis role involves extensive travel to various field assignments and project sites, both in the UK and internationally.\n\nJoin us and work with global teams to support global customers !
