Reporting to the Quality Leader you are responsible for the co-ordination and compilation of all project specific quality requirements of shop floor manufacture within the Steam and/or Generators manufacturing facility at Rugby. Within this role, you will monitor metrics jointly with the SC Quality Leader to drive manufacturing improvements in the area, as well as participating actively to the development and sustainment of a quality culture.\nResponsibilities of the role:\nLead, develop, coach factory staff on key competencies acc. to the needs\n\nOwnership for internal NCR/RCA & CAPA plan development & implementation\n\nOwnership for implementation of improvement actions resulting from quality plans and customer feedback through continuous improvement · Ensure full document control and compliance to the project quality plans throughout project execution.\n\nClearing material quality records against their associated quality specifications in co-ordination with team members\n\nSupport in creating quality record sheets for the collection of CTQ data to meet the project specific quality plan.\n\nEnsure completed quality records from the shop floor are verified, collated and processed to the appropriate project folder and location.\n\nEnsure NCR paperwork is completed, and additional quality records are added to the appropriate project folder and location.\n\nSupport customer meetings when required.\n\nSupport Q-framework, QMS and ISO audits as required.\n\nSupport regulatory compliance and optimization of quality systems procedures.\n\nSupport proactive risk identification/mitigation to achieving project quality objectives.\n\nWork with CI team to drive sustainable process changes.\n\nLead or support RCA's & CAPA plans for external defects.\n\nTo act according to defined Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety instructions, including general and company own rules.\n\nRequired Qualifications and Skills:\nEngineering bachelor’s Degree or suitable practical experience within a manufacturing environment preferably for heavy mechanical components.\n\nProven expertise in customer resolution & preventive tools, ISO knowledge\n\nInclusive leadership & communication skills\n\nAbility to read engineering drawings and specifications\n\nDemonstrated ability to self-direct within defined responsibilities\n\nKnowledge of Lean and/or alternative continuous improvement methods\n\nStrong team player, willing to prioritise team success over individual goals when required\n\nDesired Characteristics:\nSix Sigma Green Belt\n\nExperience dealing with customers\n\nKnowledge of RCA and CAPA tools and techniques\n\nAttention to detail\n\nQuestioning mindset\n\nJoin us and work with global teams to support global customers !
