the job\nArabiat Egypt is looking for a motivated Projects Engineer to join our Projects Department and support the delivery of multiple automotive, commercial and development projects.\nThis is an Owner-side position offering hands-on exposure to the complete project lifecycle while working directly with consultants, contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders.\nThe successful candidate will report to the Projects Manager and work between the head office and project sites, supporting both project coordination and site follow-up.\n\nThe Role\nYou will support the Projects Management Department in coordinating multiple concurrent projects from design and tendering through construction, handover and closeout.\nYour responsibilities will include:\n\nProject & Stakeholder Coordination\nCoordinate between the Owner, consultants, contractors, suppliers and internal departments.\n\nFollow up project requirements, deliverables, approvals, decisions and action items.\n\nSupport coordination of design, procurement and construction activities across different projects.\n\nIdentify potential delays, coordination problems and project risks and escalate them appropriately.\n\nSite Coordination & Progress Follow-Up\nAttend project sites regularly as part of the Owner's project team.\n\nMonitor and coordinate site activities and actual progress.\n\nFollow up contractors and consultants regarding outstanding works, technical issues and agreed actions.\n\nCheck availability of approved drawings, materials, manpower and required information affecting progress.\n\nParticipate in site inspections, coordination meetings, snagging, testing, commissioning and handover activities.\n\nMonitor quality and HSE observations and follow up their closure with the responsible parties.\n\nPlanning & Project Controls\nFollow up master schedules, milestones and short-term look-ahead programs.\n\nCompare planned versus actual project progress.\n\nMaintain action, milestone and issue trackers.\n\nAssist in monitoring key project indicators including schedule, cost/variations, procurement, submittals, quality, HSE, risks and closeout status.\n\nSupport preparation and follow-up of corrective and recovery actions when required.\n\nDocumentation & Reporting\nMaintain organized and updated project records.\n\nFollow up drawings, RFIs, submittals, approvals, correspondence, variations and other project documentation.\n\nPrepare Minutes of Meetings, action logs and decision trackers.\n\nPrepare weekly/monthly project progress reports and photographic site reports.\n\nSupport preparation of dashboards and management presentations.\n\nTendering & Procurement\nSupport preparation of RFQs/RFPs and tender documentation.\n\nAssist with technical comparisons and bid evaluations.\n\nFollow up procurement activities and long-lead items.\n\nCoordinate technical requirements with consultants, contractors and suppliers.\n\nQuality, Handover & Closeout\nFollow up quality observations, NCRs and snag lists.\n\nParticipate in inspections and handover activities.\n\nFollow up as-built drawings, O&M manuals, warranties and project closeout documentation.\n\nSupport defects-liability follow-up after handover.\n\nRequirements\nQualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering.\n\n3–5 years of relevant experience in construction, site engineering, technical office, project coordination or project management.\n\nPrevious Owner-side experience is an advantage but not mandatory.\n\nGood understanding of the project lifecycle and fundamental Project Management principles.\n\nExposure to commercial, automotive, industrial, retail or similar projects is preferred.\n\nTechnical & Digital Skills\nGood command of MS Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.\n\nWorking knowledge of Primavera P6 and/or MS Project is preferred.\n\nGood knowledge of AutoCAD.\n\nRevit/BIM knowledge.\n\nPower BI/dashboarding experience is a plus.\n\nBasic understanding of drawings, specifications, BOQs, RFIs, submittals, variations and construction documentation.\n\nFamiliarity with digital collaboration tools such as MS Teams, Planner or equivalent platforms.\n\nAI-Enabled Project Management\nBasic familiarity with AI tools is preferred.\nThe candidate should be willing to develop the use of AI for project reporting, document review, meeting minutes, correspondence, data analysis, knowledge retrieval and other project-management activities.\n\nLanguage & Personal Skills\nEnglish: Good to professional working proficiency, including technical and business writing.\n\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.\n\nStrong organization and follow-up capability.\n\nAttention to detail with a proactive problem-solving mindset.\n\nAbility to coordinate several activities and projects simultaneously.\n\nWillingness to continuously learn and develop within Project Management.\n\nWillingness to work between the head office and multiple project
