This role ensures that all physical assets are maintained, facilities are safe and compliant, and all property obligations are met, in line with Avoca’s growth agenda. The successful candidate will ensure all properties & facilities are maintained to the highest standards, both internally and externally, while ensuring full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.\nResources:\nThere is a team of 3 reporting into this position: A qualified electrician, a painter and a handyman.\n3rd party contractors are also used where the expertise is not within the team or there is not sufficient resource\nKey Responsibilities:\n1. Maintenance Management\nDevelop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs across the Avoca estate.\nSupervise maintenance teams and external contractors.\nEstablish and maintain an equipment register and a 3-to-5-year plan around each asset (Maintenance and Replacement)\nEnsure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.\nMonitor maintenance KPIs and optimise equipment uptime.\nEstablish system and process for issue logging, with statistics on resolution.\nManage maintenance budgets and procurement.\n2. Facilities and Property Management\nOversee the upkeep, renovation, and security of all facilities/property across the Avoca estate.\nEnsure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.\nManage leases, property documentation, and vendor contracts.\nCoordinate space planning and new store openings.\nImplement energy efficiency programs.\nManagement of facilities and property budgets and procurement ensuring best value is derived from the expenditure\nManage the facilities suppliers for each location in the Avoca business\nSkills and Competencies:\nStrong leadership and team management skills.\nExcellent organisational and project management abilities.\nProficiency in relevant IT systems/ software.\nKnowledge of regulatory compliance\nCan do attitude\nAnalytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.\nReporting Line:\nReports to Financial Director Avoca.\n Related third level qualification\n5+ years of experience in a multi-disciplinary property and facilities manager role ideally within a retail /manufacturing environment.\n About Avoca\nBeyond the workplace, Avoca fosters a strong sense of community, both within our team and with our customers.\nWe take pride in our role as a beloved retail destination, where people come not just to shop, but to experience the warmth and hospitality that defines the Avoca brand.
