This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate Chef to be part of a busy catering operation, delivering high-quality food and excellent service within a secure military environment.\nThe Role\nAs a Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals to a high standard, supporting the smooth running of the kitchen and ensuring all food safety and hygiene regulations are followed. You will work closely with the wider catering team to deliver a varied and nutritious food offering for customers.\nKey Responsibilities\nPreparing, cooking and presenting food in line with menu specifications and company standards\nAssisting with menu planning and food production to meet customer requirements\nEnsuring high standards of food hygiene, safety and cleanliness are maintained at all times\nMonitoring stock levels and assisting with stock control and ordering\nMinimising food waste and ensuring effective use of resources\nSupporting and mentoring junior team members where required\nMaintaining compliance with all health & safety and food safety legislation\nWorking collaboratively with the catering team to ensure an efficient service\nWhat's in it for You?\n£13.225 per hour\n40 hours per week\nWorking 5 days over 7\nAccess to our Employee Benefits app, including online GP services, an Employee Assistance Programme and hundreds of retail discounts\nCompany pension contributions\nLife assurance\nGenerous holiday entitlement with the option to buy more\nExcellent training and development opportunities\nApprenticeship schemes available\nFantastic career progression opportunities, as we LOVE to promote from within\nBe part of a talented and supportive team\n What We're Looking For\nPrevious experience working as a Chef in a busy catering, hospitality or food service environment\nKnowledge of food safety, allergen management and health & safety procedures\nAbility to work under pressure while maintaining high standards\nStrong organisational and time management skills\nA positive attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team\nRelevant food hygiene qualification desirable, although training can be provided\nFlexibility to work a variety of shifts across 5 days out of 7\n Additional Requirements\nEmployment is subject to satisfactory right to work checks.\nThis role is based within a secure military establishment.
