We're looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our dynamic team in Boston Scientific, Galway, Ireland. In this role, you'll be the friendly face of our organization, delivering exceptional customer service and support to our valued clients. As a Customer Service Assistant, you'll handle a variety of customer interactions with professionalism, empathy, and enthusiasm, ensuring every customer leaves satisfied with their experience. This position offers the opportunity to develop your customer service skills in a collaborative, supportive environment where your contributions directly impact our success.
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person with professionalism and a customer-focused approach
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including payments and order management
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and transactions using company systems and tools
- Resolve customer concerns and complaints with empathy and transparency, escalating complex issues when necessary
- Provide product and service information to customers in a clear and enthusiastic manner
- Support the team in organizing and maintaining service areas to ensure a welcoming environment
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily service goals and customer satisfaction targets
- Assist with inventory management and stock organization as directed
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and health and safety guidelines
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skill set
- Undertake any additional reasonable tasks as requested by your manager to support team operations
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in response to changing business requirements
**Essential Criteria:**
Skills & Competencies:
- Proficient spoken and written English
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities
- Problem-solving mindset with analytical thinking
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Active listening and empathetic approach to customer interactions
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems
- Cash handling experience and accuracy with financial transactions
- Resilience and ability to remain calm under pressure
Experience:
- Previous customer service or customer-facing experience in a retail or service environment (desirable)
- Experience with payment processing or cash management (desirable)
Education & Certifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
**Preferred Criteria:**
- Experience in a fast-paced customer service environment
- Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) systems
- Multilingual capabilities
- Certification in customer service or related field
- Experience with inventory management systems
