Aramark UK are currently recruiting for a Retail Assistant to join our team at Harlow Hill, NE15 0RF. This is a fantastic opportunity for a friendly and enthusiastic individual who enjoys delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.

The Role

As a Retail Assistant, you will play an important role in the day-to-day running of our retail operation, ensuring customers receive a welcoming and efficient service. You will be responsible for serving customers, replenishing stock, maintaining store standards and supporting the team to create a positive shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing excellent customer service and creating a welcoming environment
• Operating tills and processing customer purchases accurately
• Replenishing shelves and ensuring products are attractively displayed
• Monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages where necessary
• Assisting with deliveries and stock rotation
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the store
• Following all company policies, including age-restricted sales procedures
• Supporting the wider team to ensure the smooth operation of the retail outlet

What We're Looking For

• Previous retail or customer service experience is desirable but not essential
• Friendly and approachable with excellent customer service skills
• Confident handling cash and operating tills
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable and flexible approach to work
• Ability to work in a busy environment and prioritise tasks effectively
• Basic understanding of stock management and merchandising principles

A Basic DBS check is required for this role.
