(Scroll down to the “Caring for You” section)\nPOSITION SUMMARY:\nFood and Beverage employees at Arapahoe Basin are committed to creating “a day worth repeating” for our guests by ensuring legendary service and food quality throughout our Food and Beverage outlets.\nAs a Barista at A-Basin, you are \"the face\" of our Coffee Corner and will help to create a welcoming, clean, and friendly environment. You will assist guests with Food and Beverage purchases making specialty coffee drinks and preparing light food options with a helpful and positive attitude through use of a POS system.\nWe look to be thoughtful, creative, and energetic. We are known not only for our A-mazing skiing/riding, but also for our A-mazing Food and Beverage options.\nWAGE:\nThe base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of Arapahoe Basin’s hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, and responsibilities. The range listed is just one component of Arapahoe Basin’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.\nHourly pay range: $20.00/hr + tips\nESSENTIAL DUTIES:\nTake orders, prepare beverages, and handle POS transactions; ensure consistency and quality with all customer orders\n\nMerchandise products around the POS area\n\nCarry out opening and closing procedures; sign consent for over or short monies\n\nFollow proper food and beverage handling and sanitation procedures every day; rotate product and inventory in accordance to established guidelines\n\nPrepare and stock goods in accordance with inventory responsibilities; keep stocks at or above par levels\n\nFollow all departmental sustainability guidelines\n\nPerform other tasks as assigned\n\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:\nPrevious barista experience - preferred\n\nAbility to be self-motivated; possesses great attention to detail\n\nBasic retail computer skills\n\nAbility to multi-task\n\nMust be available on weekends and holidays\n\nMust provide own non-slip shoes\n\nTIPS certification - preferred\n\nThis position requires successful completion of a background check\n\nEDUCATION REQUIREMENTS\nHigh school diploma or equivalent - preferred\n\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\nAbility to withstand high-altitude conditions at all times\n\nAbility to stand and walk throughout an 8+ hour shift\n\nAbility to navigate stairs throughout shift.\n\nAbility to Use full range of body motion: bend, twist, kneel, squat, push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs.\n\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily- reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nWORKING CONDITIONS:\nYou will work almost 100% of the time indoors in a high-altitude environment. Some outside work in a cold and snowy environment is possible on any given day. Most work is performed in a highly trafficked area in view of guests. A very frequent amount of high-volume guest interaction is involved in this role.
