One thing is for sure: we work hard and we play hard.\nAs a Lift Operator, you will assistin the loading and unloading of passengers on aerial tramways, tow ropes, and surface lifts. Lift Operators are also responsible for crowd management in the liftmazes. See below for specific details.\nHourly pay range: $20.00 - $22.50/hour\nESSENTIAL DUTIES:\nStaff will be responsible forthe following after classroom and in the field training and shadowing:\nOn time for scheduled shifts, dressed in uniform with snowboard/ski equipment, and ready to head to assigned work station\n\nInteract positively with guests and seekto assistwith any guest concerns to provide a day worth repeating and extensive snow shoveling\n\nThrive in an active, outdoor environment, consistently performing physical tasks like assistingguests, maintainingsnow levels, and moving around in varied weather conditions\n\nEmbrace the elements, working almost exclusivelyoutdoors in a high-alpine, snowy environment with frequent exposure to heights and machinery noise.\n\nAssistguests in loading and unloading of ski lifts, including verbally coaching and physically assistingcustomers who have fallen down\n\nComplete CPTSB (Colorado Passenger Tramway Safety Board) specified in-house training requirements to operateaerial tramways safely\n\nDemonstrate basic knowledge of ANSI (American National Standards Institute) standards and applications upon successful completion of training\n\nKnowledgeablyand efficiently administer emergency procedures, including lift breakdowns, evacuation, fire, and accident reporting. Communicate to guests, when appropriate, the status of a lift breakdown.\n\nCommunicate information with guests, co-workers, Ski Patrol, and other ski area personnel throughout the day\n\nMaintain message board with up-to-date communication\n\nMaintain a tidy and safe work area, including proper storage of tools\n\nMaintain lift maze throughout the day, including ropes, snow work, and management of lanes as guest volume dictates\n\nTo communicate and make quick decisions, and be a source of knowledgeable information in dealing with guest needs or questions as they arise\n\nMaintain clean and tidy locker room\n\nSki or snowboard safely to and from lift stations\n\nPerform other duties as assigned\n\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:\nDemonstrates interpersonal and guest service skills\n\nAbility to speak, read, and write in English\n\nMust provide own ski/snowboard equipment, under layers, gloves-the company does have discounts on some brands of gear\n\nMust be available weekends, holidays, and some evenings\n\nMust be able to stay focused on the lift and our guests without unnecessary distractions such as the use of cell phones\n\nPERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:\nIs honest and has the highest integrity\n\nAbility to show empathy\n\nSets the example for others and is above reproach\n\nHas a friendly and outgoing demeanor\n\nCan handle fast pace, potentially high-pressure environment\n\nIsflexible with hours and days of work and is punctual. Expectations of no conflicts with attendance.\n\nIs able towork any hours of the day, any days of the week (Oct-June)\n\nIs able towork through the end of the season\n\nEDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent - Required\n\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\nAbility to withstand high-altitude conditions at all times\n\nAbility to ski or snowboard at an intermediate level or higher\n\nAbility to use a full range of body motion: bend, twist, kneel, pull, push, and lift upto 50 lbs.\n\nAbility to ascend and descend ladders\n\nAbility to visually and audibly inspect for irregularitiesin machinery\n\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily- reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nWORKING CONDITIONS:\nYou will work almost 100% of the time outside in a cold, snowy, and high-alpine environment. Noise levels of machinery can be highand exposure to heights is frequent.
