Working alongside the leadership team, you will champion a culture of authenticity and excellence, ensuring every day inthe Ski & Ride School is a day worth repeating.\nWAGE:\nThe base hourly pay range below representsthe low and high end of Arapahoe Basin’s hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, and responsibilities. The range listed is just one componentof Arapahoe Basin’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.\nHourly pay range: $22.75 - $30.75/hour\nESSENTIAL DUTIES:\nDaily supervision of25+ pros which includesprepping the Kids Center, printing tickets, running line up, distributing classes, etc.\n\nScheduling a staff of 60+ to ensure the Snow Sports School is set-up to meet business volumes\n\nEnforce and support company and department policies and procedures\n\nCoach, support, and evaluate pros\n\nOversee Ski & Ride School daily operations; assign staff to daily duties; modifydaily plan as necessary to meet daily departmental financial goals\n\nIndependently develop and drive business opportunities to enhance the guest experience\n\nLead and develop a guest-centered culture that supports A-Basin’s vision and strategy\n\nAssistin department recruitment, hiring, training, and development of policies and procedures\n\nConduct instructor observations and appraisals\n\nRecord instructor discussions, which may include corrective actions\n\nFulfill and schedule private and group lessons/tickets in RTPand Flaik\n\nFollow all department sustainability guidelines as expected\n\nPerform other duties as assigned\n\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:\nAt least 3 years of previousSnowsports instruction\n\nPrevioussupervisory experience required\n\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite\n\nAbility to effectively and efficiently use scheduling and inventory software (RTPand Flaik)\n\nExcellent communication, interpersonal, guest-service, and problem-solving skills\n\nAbility to be self-motivated and self-directed while performing multiple tasks\n\nMust be available on weekends and holidays\n\nMust provide own ski or snowboard equipment and other necessary gear to work outside in a high-alpine, snowy, and cold environment\n\nThis position requires successful completion of a background check\n\nEDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\n\nCurrent with PSIA-AASI, Level 1 Certification and CS1\n\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\nAbility to withstand high-altitude conditions at all timeswhile standing or skiing\n\nAbility to lift upto 50 lbs.\n\nAbility to stand, walk, bend, twist, kneel, squat, crawl, push, pull, throw, and stretch\n\nAbility to ski at an advanced level for up to 3 hours per shift\n\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily- reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nWORKING CONDITIONS:\nThis position will work outdoors in a high-alpine environment in all types of weather conditions. Most work is performed in a highly trafficked and loud area inview of guests. This role involved continuous guest interaction: face-to-face, over the phone, and by email.
