Come build what the future will run on.\nSteward our planet: We build for tomorrow, ensuring every bolt we tighten and every hand we lend leaves our environment stronger than we found it.\nLead with Love: We champion the success of our people, partners, and planet, nurturing excellence through camaraderie and rigor.\nExplore the Uncharted: We embrace the unknown with curiosity, using courage and discipline to transform uncertainty into opportunity.\nRole Overview\nWe are looking for a Contract Technical Recruiter to help build and scale Arbor's engineering team during a critical growth phase. \nIn this role, you'll focus on full cycle recruiting for complex hardware engineering roles, designing and executing targeted sourcing strategies, engaging passive candidates, and managing the process through offer acceptance. \nYou’ll work closely with hiring managers and the recruiting team to identify and attract engineers building high-performance systems designed to deliver dependable, emissions-free electricity at scale. \nThis role is based out of our El Segundo, CA office. \nResponsibilities\nSearch Strategy and Candidate Engagement \nPartner with the talent team and hiring managers to understand role requirements and hiring priorities, translating technical role requirements into effective sourcing and recruiting strategies.\nBuild and execute targeted search strategies and talent pipelines for difficult-to-fill technical roles.\nDevelop personalized, thoughtful outreach and conduct initial screening conversations with passive technical talent.\nMaintain strong candidate experience through all the stages of the recruiting process. \nTalent Insights and Pipeline Optimization \nTrack pipeline health and sourcing performance metrics, using data to identify bottlenecks and continuously improve search outcomes. \nUse market insights and competitive talent mapping to refine sourcing strategies.\nContribute to improving sourcing strategies and recruiting workflows.\nProvide market insights and talent intelligence to shape recruiting decisions. \nTeam Partnership and Collaboration \nBuild trust with hiring managers and the broader team through consistency, responsiveness, and follow-through.\nCommunicate clearly and proactively with stakeholders to maintain alignment and momentum across active searches.\nWork collaboratively with the People and Talent team, along with other cross-functional partners to support Arbor’s hiring goals. \nRequirements\nBachelor’s degree and/or relevant experience. \n5+ years of technical recruiting experience, with a track record of supporting searches in highly competitive talent markets. \nMust have experience sourcing and recruiting for deep-tech engineering talent from industries such as aerospace, advanced manufacturing, energy systems, or similar. \nStrong research skills and creativity in building candidate pipelines. \nStrong understanding of competitive talent markets and ability to identify relevant target companies and talent pools. \nHighly organized, data-driven, and strong follow-through in a fast-moving environment. \nExcellent written and verbal communication, as well as candidate engagement skills. \nAbility to manage multiple searches simultaneously in a fast-paced environment and remain adaptable to changing priorities. \nPreferred Qualifications\nProven ability to build diverse talent pipelines and connect with candidates from underrepresented backgrounds. \nComfortable interfacing directly with hiring managers and company leaders. \nExperience supporting early-stage startups or R&D-focused organizations. \nCompensation\nBase Pay: Contract rate $70.00 - $85.00 USD/hour.
