Come build what the\nfuture will run on.\nWe are seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer (Gasification) to take ownership of the development, testing, and\noptimization of our novel biomass gasification systems, solids feed and removal systems, and\nfeedstock pretreatment systems to enable reliable, high efficiency conversion as we scale from\ndemonstration to pilot and beyond. As a core member of a small, hands-on gasification team, you’ll\nguide daily operations, exe\nResponsibilities\nExecute design, procurement, assembly, testing and operation of high-pressure solids feed and removal hardware. \nContribute to 3D modeling, structural analysis, fabrication drawingsand PFD’s / fluid P&ID’s as well as test plans and procedures. \nFind robust, cost-effective solutions to solve Arbor’s electro-mechanical, thermal, and fluid system design problems. \nManage large assembly BOMs and work across departments to deliver project results. \nRequirements\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Chemical Engineering, or related field. \n7+ years of experience in combustion system design, analysis, and testing. \nExperience with electro-mechanical and/or chemical conversion systems. \nStrong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer. \nHands-on experience with high-temperature and pressure equipment. \nDemonstrated ability to own product lifecycle from conceptual design to validation. \nPreferred Qualifications\nMaster'sdegree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Chemical Engineering, or related field. \nExperience with biomass or solidsconveyance and feeding systems. \nKnowledge of chemical kinetics and fuel property effects oncombustion behavior. \nProgramming or scripting skills for data reduction and automation (Python, MATLAB, or similar). \nExperience working in startup or experimental R&D environments. \nSalary\n$150K - $175K a year, subject to applicant’s skills, qualifications, and experience \nCompensation & Benefits\nStock options \nMedical, dental, and vision insurance (Arbor covers 90% for employees) \nBasic life insurance fully covered \nHealth savings account (HSA) with matching \nFlexible savings account (FSA) \nUnlimited PTO \n12+ company holidays, including Earth Day! \n401(k) \nCommuter benefits \nAnnual learning and development stipend \nAnd more! \nOur Commitment\nArbor Energy is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
