The successful candidates will have strong analytical and communication skills along with a passion for learning. We are seeking self-starters with exceptional interpersonal skills. These 4-month work terms will commence in May 2027 and are based in Calgary.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nThis will be a project-based work term where the successful candidates will collaborate with Senior Geologists and Geophysicists on one or more projects that entail various tasks including:\nEvaluate oil and gas potential in a designated area\n\nAnalyze and integrate wireline logs, drill cuttings, production, and engineering data\n\nIdentify type logs, picking tops, and mapping stratigraphic units\n\nCompile and map available area well data to provide structural, isopach, and pay map interpretations\n\nIdentify production profiles, drainage bubbles, and defining gas/oil and oil/water contacts\n\nWork on base mapping for potential horizontal gas well targets\n\nAssess and develop 3D subsurface models to enhance reservoir characterization\n\nAnalyze available core samples\n\nWHAT YOU WILL BRING TO ARC:\nThe position is ideally suited for students currently in their second or third year of a Bachelor’s program in Geosciences and are returning to school the following term\n\nA keen interest in pursuing a career in the energy sector\n\nMotivated self-starter with strong organizational and communication skills\n\nRelated experience, a strong desire to learn, along with intermediate computer skills are considered assets\n\nAbility to work independently within a team environment\n\nREWARDING OPPORTUNITY:\nAn opportunity to be part of delivering responsible energy by developing and growing your career with us\n\nWorking collaboratively with, and learning from some of the most talented and experienced people in our industry\n\nA culture of caring and high performance\n\nFocus on health and well-being\n\nAn environment where all individuals are treated fairly and respectfully, have equal access to opportunities and resources, feel a sense of belonging, and can contribute fully to the organization’s success\n\nMeaningful work that makes a difference in the Canadian energy industry\n\nWe are pleased to share that Shell’s acquisition of ARC Resources Ltd. has now officially closed.
