From the office to the field, our team of talented professionals work hard each day to safely execute our business and create positive and lasting impacts for our stakeholders.\nTHE OPPORTUNITY:\nOur Field Operations team is currently seeking a candidate for a Plant Operator position in the liquids-rich Kakwa East region located in northwest Alberta. The wells and facilities are located approximately 135 km southeast of Grande Prairie.\nReporting to the Area Foreman, you will provide direct guidance and support to operating staff and contractors to consistently meet or exceed expectations in the following areas: health and safety, production, operating costs, corporate values, environment, training, regulatory, and emergency response while in care and control of the field. You will also be responsible for providing operational support to the assets, including monitoring and troubleshooting the safe operation of the plant facilities, wells, gas gathering systems, and compressor stations.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nEnsure safe and efficient operations and routine maintenance of high-pressure gas wells and gathering systems\n\nMonitor the plant to ensure production and reliability meet targets, and provide effective troubleshooting as required\n\nMonitor and evaluate process conditions to achieve optimum throughput\n\nRecord and report on flaring, shutdowns, heat changes, and other production reporting as required\n\nWork cross functionally with the construction and maintenance team to optimize production and make changes in the field and plant\n\nAssist in pad commissioning and turnaround planning, and perform minor maintenance and plant housekeeping as required\n\nMonitor SCADA for any changes and complete production reports accurately and in a timely manner\n\nIdentify hazards and effectively communicate with team members\n\nMust be prepared to respond to on-call operational duties and emergency situations and follow the site’s emergency response plan\n\nMust follow and apply the site’s safe work procedures and the requirements of WHMIS, ABSA, and ASME codes as required\n\nChampion ARC’s culture of safety by abiding by ARC’s safety standards and reporting\n\nWHAT YOU WILL BRING TO ARC:\nThe ideal candidate will have a 4th Class Power Engineering certificate, or be willing to attain one within a year of being hired\n\nA minimum of 5 years of oil and gas industry experience is preferred\n\nExperience working in a high-pressure gas processing field with a thorough understanding of gas and liquid processes\n\nExperience with dehydration equipment, transfer pumps, plunger lifts, and compression, and experience with condensate stabilization is an asset\n\nCurrent certification in H2S alive, First Aid, WHIMIS, TDG is preferred\n\nDemonstrated ability to adapt to process changes and modifications\n\nDemonstrated computer literacy and knowledge of automated operations systems\n\nProven analytical and problem-solving skills and excellent communication skills\n\nTeam player mentality and able to work well with others in a fast-paced environment\n\nAbility to work overtime and respond off hours as part of an “On Call” rotation\n\nAbility to operate a UTV and snowmobile safely\n\nREWARDING OPPORTUNITY:\nAn opportunity to be part of delivering responsible energy by developing and growing your career with us\n\nWorking collaboratively with, and learning from some of the most talented and experienced people in our industry\n\nA market-competitive and pay-for-performance total compensation plan, including eligibility to participate in our bonus and long-term incentive programs\n\nTop-tier benefits, wellness/healthcare spending accounts and savings plans\n\nA culture of caring and high performance\n\nFocus on health and well-being\n\nAn environment where all individuals are treated fairly and respectfully, have equal access to opportunities and resources, feel a sense of belonging, and can contribute fully to the organization’s success\n\nMeaningful work that makes a difference in the Canadian energy industry\n\nADDITIONAL INFORMATION:\nShift schedule for this role is 14 days on and 14 days off, working both day and night shifts, 12-hours per day\n\nFull-service camp at site\n\nAs this role is considered safety sensitive, the successful candidate will be required to successfully complete drug and alcohol testing, and a fitness to work test\n\nWe are pleased to share that Shell’s acquisition of ARC Resources Ltd. has now officially closed.
