In this role you will be assisting with field supervision, compliance, documentation, quality assurance, and coordination to ensure successful package delivery and adherence to all technical, regulatory, and contractual requirements.\nWe are working as the Delivery Partner along with team members and selected by the Gateway Development Commission to deliver this transformative project. The HTP is a critical component of the broader Gateway Program - one of the most ambitious and impactful transportation initiatives in the nation - and is designed to strengthen mobility, enhance resiliency, and ensure the long-term reliability of the Northeast Corridor.\nThe project encompasses the construction of a new, two-track rail tunnel beneath the Hudson River, along with the full rehabilitation of the existing 113-year-old North River Tunnel. This vital infrastructure supports more than 200,000 daily passengers via Amtrak and NJ TRANSIT and serves as a backbone for economic activity and connectivity between New York and New Jersey.\nThis is more than just a job - it’s a once-in-a-generation opportunity to contribute to a nationally significant infrastructure program that will reshape rail transportation, drive sustainable economic growth, and improve regional accessibility for millions. As part of this high-performing, multidisciplinary team, you will help deliver excellence on one of the most technically complex and high-profile projects in the world.\nIf you're seeking to make a meaningful, lasting impact - while advancing your career alongside some of the best minds in the industry - this is your moment.\nRole Accountabilities:\nField Supervision & Construction Oversight\nAssist with site supervision and field management, supporting the oversight of all construction activities by the Project Contractor.\nEnsure compliance with construction management plans, safety and security protocols, and project requirements.\nMonitor and document daily construction activities, including safety, quality, and environmental compliance.\nParticipate in precondition surveys, mitigation planning, and resolution of punch-list items.\nCompliance & Environmental Management\nSupport the development and implementation of environmental monitoring and compliance programs.\nAssist with NEPA evaluations, environmental control processes, hazardous materials tracking, and review of construction environmental control plans.\nHelp ensure compliance with Buy America, community engagement, and other regulatory requirements.\nProject Controls & Documentation\nAssist with project controls, including schedule management, cost estimating, and budget tracking.\nSupport the maintenance and continuous updating of construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and records of changes.\nHelp review and process contractor daily inspection reports, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.\nMaintain systematic records and logbooks of project activities, materials, and other elements.\nQuality Assurance & Testing\nSupport the implementation of quality management plans and conduct quality audits.\nVerify contractor compliance with testing and inspection plans, coordinate materials testing, and manage quality documentation and reporting.\nAssist with the review of quality documents and resolution of non-conformances.\nCoordination & Communication\nParticipate in meetings, technical briefings, and coordination sessions with project management, contractors, and stakeholders.\nAssist with the preparation of technical presentations, reports, and meeting minutes.\nSupport interface management by integrating field activities with other project disciplines and reporting on interface status, issues, and resolutions.\nSafety Management\nSupport the implementation of safety management plans and procedures.\nAssist with the review and evaluation of contractor safety and security plans.\nHelp prepare and implement response plans for safety events and incidents.\nProject Close-out & Asset Management\nAssist with package and contract close-out, including punch-list resolution, completion certificates, warranty tracking, and as-built reviews.\nSupport asset maintenance planning and provide input on maintenance strategies as construction is completed.\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.\nMinimum 3 years of experience in construction management, field engineering, or inspection on large-scale infrastructure or transportation projects.\nKey Skills and Abilities:\nKnowledge of construction methods, project controls, and quality assurance processes.\nFamiliarity with environmental compliance, safety management, and document control.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office and basic project management software; experience with BIM or CAD is a plus.\nStrong attention to detail and organizational skills.\nAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with engineers, contractors, and stakeholders.\nWillingness to work in the field and adapt to changing project needs.\nUnderstanding of federal, state, and local codes, standards, and permitting processes is a plus.\nCommitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.\nProactive attitude, eagerness to learn, and ability to take initiative.\nPreferred Experience/Qualifications:\nExperience with federally funded projects and regulatory compliance is preferred.\nExperience working on tunnel, rail, or major transportation infrastructure projects.\nDeep Pile Foundation Experience\nStructural Steel \nViaducts and Bridgework\nRebar installation for Mass Concrete.\nEnvironmental expertise (wetlands preferred)\nWhy Arcadis?\nWe can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
