With the power of many curious minds, together we can solve the world’s most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.\nRole description:\nThe position will deal with facility Infrastructure and Capital Improvements, Construction Modernization, Expansion and Renovations, Equipment and System Replacement, and other high value facility maintenance and repair projects. The work schedule for this position fluctuates based upon the needs of projects or events, which will require the ability to work a flexible schedule, that may include early morning, night or on occasion weekend activities. Travel to local facilities may be required.\nRole accountabilities:\nAbility to oversee several projects at the same time.\nPlans all phases of the construction lifecycle from initiation to completion, with demonstrated knowledge of all areas of construction and M.G.L. Ch 149 procurement.\nProvide proactive planning, project management to assist project teams and ensures project coordination among all parties and stakeholders.\nManage project procurement activities.\nCoordinates & obtains all necessary regulatory permits.\nEnsures that all local, state, and national building codes and regulations and safety precautions are followed.\nManages on call design professionals (house doctors), general contractors, on call contractors and construction manager partners and oversees their work.\nReviews work orders and amendments from house doctors.\nDevelops and adheres to the budget, timeline, and quality control plan.\nDetermines needed resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations.\nReports regularly on progress of projects to senior members of the team and informs of potential risks, delays, or issues.\nManages both internal and external risks within the project’s lifetime.\nContribute to culture of health and safety on the project.\nHas ability to perform project inspection, on site, verifying that necessary inspections and testing are performed and documented.\nHold project meetings as required and disseminate information and action items.\nMonitors contractor progress against baseline schedule.\nReviews contractor change order requests.\nReviews and approve contractor pay applications.\nManage project turnover documents and project closeout.\nAbility to interpret and understand construction documentation including plans, specifications, contracts, and related addenda.\nQualifications & Experience:\nBachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field.\nMinimum of 3 years of experience\nWhy Arcadis?\nWe can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
