This role can be based out of any of the following Arcadis offices: Cary, Charlotte, or Greensboro, North Carolina.\nThe candidate in this role will perform site civil design and project management tasks for a variety of projects in the region. Tasks may include site layouts, grading, hydraulic modeling, utility design, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control design, and task/project management.\nRole accountabilities:\nThis Civil Engineer will be responsible for leading site civil design and permitting efforts for industrial, pharmaceutical, and municipal facilities, including water/wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and utility transmission and distribution projects. The position manages the planning, design, and permitting process to ensure all work complies with contracts, drawings, specifications, applicable codes, and Arcadis quality and safety standards. The individual also communicates closely with clients, establishes clear goals and objectives for project teams, and coordinates resources and schedules to successfully deliver projects on time, within budget, and in alignment with client expectations. Some local travel may be required.\nOther responsibilities include:\nProvide technical expertise on multi-disciplined projects as a design leader, QA/QC reviewer or technical advisor.\nNavigate local and state permitting requirements to obtain regulatory approval for projects. \nSupervise and support the work of others while mentoring junior level engineers and technical staff.\nWork directly with clients to determine needs and deliver solutions and lead the growth of client relationships with target clients.\nQualifications & Experience:\nRequired Qualifications\n8 years or more of experience in site civil projects preferred\nBS degree in Civil Engineering or related\nPE License \nKey Skills/Preferred Qualifications\nExperience in the land development projects and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D \nExcellent professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills\nAbility to participate in and facilitate group meetings\nClient facing experience and ability to develop contacts and relationships\nAbility to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several assignments\nWhy Arcadis?\nWe can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
