With the power of many curious minds, together we can solve the world’s most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.\nRole Description:\nWe currently have an opportunity for a Civil Structural Senior Engineer - Rail to join our Rail North West near Manchester.\nIn this role, you will lead the delivery of civil and structural design packages for rail infrastructure projects, ensuring technical outputs meet project, client and industry requirements. You will develop practical engineering solutions across a range of rail assets while supporting multidisciplinary project delivery.\nRole Accountabilities:\nLead the delivery of civil and structural design packages for rail infrastructure projects.\nPrepare, review and verify calculations, drawings, reports and technical deliverables.\nDevelop engineering solutions for bridges, foundations, retaining structures, stations and related rail infrastructure.\nCoordinate multidisciplinary design activities and ensure effective design integration.\nProvide technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians.\nSupport design reviews, technical assurance activities and the resolution of engineering issues.\nIdentify and manage design risks in line with project requirements and relevant standards.\nEnsure deliverables comply with Arcadis requirements, national standards and codes of practice.\nQualifications & Experience:\nBSc/BEng or MSc/MEng, or equivalent, in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related discipline.\nRelevant civil or structural design experience within rail or major infrastructure projects.\nExperience preparing and checking engineering calculations, drawings and technical reports.\nKnowledge of structural design principles, relevant codes, standards and risk management.\nExperience using structural analysis and design software would be advantageous.\nExperience providing technical guidance within engineering teams.\nChartered Engineer (CEng) or Incorporated Engineer (IEng) status with a relevant professional institution is desirable.\nIf you're a civil or structural engineer looking to deliver technically challenging rail infrastructure projects, we'd like to hear from you.\nWhy Arcadis?\nWe can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
