We are here to protect our natural environment and water resources, while powering our world for future generations.\nRole accountabilities:\nAs a Water Engineer, you will have the opportunity to evaluate, plan, design and support the management of projects related to water/wastewater/stormwater treatment and conveyance including pipelines and pumping facilities.\nIn addition to traditional engineering solutions, you will need to be involved with identifying and advancing green infrastructure and other nature-based solutions to address stormwater quality and quantity. You role will also include assessing, developing, and supporting the management of sustainability and resilience projects.\nAs an Entry-Level Water Engineer you will have the chance to exercise judgement on the details of your work and make preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives. This position will offer valuable hands on experience in the field of water engineering, allowing you to develop your skills and contribute to meaningful projects.\nIn addition to the responsibilities mentioned above, you will also be accountable for:\nPerforming fieldwork activities such as site visits, construction inspection, sampling, water quality analyses, asset inventory, flow monitoring set-up and monitoring, and technology evaluations. \nSupporting Asset Management projects performing data analytics, operational and organizational assessments, condition assessments and overall performance evaluations of water/wastewater/stormwater facilities. \nPreparing reports, presentations, and other audio-visual materials, and participate in client meetings. \nUsing digital tools to enhance customer experience, team and client collaboration, and project delivery including configuration and deployment of SharePoint, Geographic Information System (GIS), Building Information Modeling (BIM), Power BI, and Augmented Reality, as well as designing and managing databases and cloud-based computing services \nThis role may include local and regional travel. The ideal candidate should have unrestricted availability to travel as needed and enthusiasm for on-site field work at construction sites. The weekly schedule may vary, candidates can expect an overall ratio of 75% office and 25% field.\nQualifications & Experience:\nWhat skills/ attributes do you need?\nStrong attention to detail, organization skills, and work ethic \nExceptional analytical and problem-solving skills \nSelf-motivated and team-oriented, with the ability to work successfully both independently and within a team \nStrong technical writing ability and educational background \nAbility to balance and address new challenges as they arise \nKnowledge of engineering concepts, theories, and practices related to water/wastewater/stormwater \nExcellent technical aptitude with a familiarity/ experience with CAD, AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam\nMust have a drivers license and ability to get to remote job sites for work\nRequired Qualifications\nBS in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a closely related field of study. \nPreferred Qualifications\nEIT or ability to obtain EIT shortly after starting at Arcadis \nPrior work/internship experience at a design or consulting engineering firm or municipal work environment. \nExperience using AutoCAD and Revit, ArcGIS \nWhy Arcadis?\nWe can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
