This position will also support work in the surrounding states and will present opportunities for short-term travel. The Environmental Technician will assist in the environmental field services for several different clients in this market. Typical activities will include surface and groundwater monitoring and sampling, soil sampling, soil remediation oversight, operation and maintenance of remedial systems, and subcontractor oversight. The ideal candidate will have environmental site investigation and monitoring experience and strong ability to communicate effectively with project teams both verbally and through written field work documentation.\nLocal candidates are necessary as this position will require field work and occasionally reporting to remote field offices for meetings and picking up equipment and materials. Relocation support will be considered.\nField work will require regional business travel for up to 3-4 days per week on average. Several times per year, travel may be required within the U.S. for up to two weeks at a time.\nThis Environmental Technician position will sit within the larger Global Resilience Business Area. We are here to protect our natural environment and water resources, while powering our world for future generations.\nRole accountabilities:\nResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:\nGroundwater, soil, and vapor sampling,\nImplementation of various field activities including permit compliance sampling and activities, monitoring well development and repair, waste management, etc.\nRemediation system operation, maintenance, and monitoring,\nSite Inspections,\nOversight of subcontractors to perform selected operations and\nRemedial action field support such as in-situ injection and source removal activities.\nQualified candidates will have experience working as an environmental field technician or in a similar role. They should demonstrate the ability to read, understand, and complete scopes of work with limited supervision, as well as possess familiarity with environmental standards, remedial systems, and related practices.
