With the power of many curious minds, together we can solve the world’s most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.\nRole description:\nArcadis is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join our National Water Management Team and Water South team in Little Rock, AR.\nAs a Geotechnical Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering engineering and consulting services for a variety of projects, including those focused on shoreline stability, flood risk reduction, and waterfront infrastructure resilience. Our ideal candidate will have progressive geotechnical experience in slope stability, seepage and foundation analyses.\nRole accountabilities:\nIn this role you will utilize expertise and technical knowledge to lead geotechnical projects related to water management, flood resiliency and general infrastructure design. This role will perform geotechnical analyses for levees, dams, floodwalls, and other hydraulic structures, including but not limited to seepage, slope stability and settlement analysis, and preparing technical reports.\nAdditional duties include preparation of geotechnical recommendations that aid in the development of designs, drawings, specifications, and reports. Role will work with our multi-disciplinary Water Management team that includes Civil, Structural, and Geotechnical Engineers to deliver innovative designs for our clients.\nData evaluation of instrumentation systems at levees, spillways, outlet works, and slopes. \nAssists in planning and coordinating geotechnical field investigations \nReviews boring logs and laboratory data. Design and analyses of other heavy civil and earthen structures will be a part of this role in addition to preparing design/bid packages for permitting/construction, and coordinating and overseeing construction administration, and inspection services.\nPlanning field exploration and laboratory testing programs.\nSome travel may be required to project site visits, client meetings, safety audits, construction oversight, etc.\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, or related field.\nMinimum of 5 years of geotechnical experience. \nEIT/PE Certification\nPreferred Qualifications:\nMaster's degree in Civil Engineering and 8 years of geotechnical experience. \nExperience in managing project teams and collaborating with other technical disciplines.\nProficiency in using programs such as gINT, SEEPW, SLOPEW, CWALSHT, PYWall, LPILE, and GROUP\nExperience in geotechnical analyses for dams, levees, cofferdams, and foundations for various hydraulic structures.
