Our GEC is made up of more than 3,000 talented individuals working in offices across Romania, India and Philippines, providing Capability, Capacity and a Competitive Advantage across a wide array of unique projects and services, in collaboration with our global businesses.\nThe MEPF Discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection) in the GECs is comprised of cross-functional teams, that contribute to the development of innovative MEPF solutions that optimize energy efficiency, sustainability, and occupant comfort. Our ability to effectively manage projects, assess client needs, and provide technical guidance is crucial in delivering successful outcomes, using the most innovative way of doing computational design.\nRole accountabilities:\nConducts engineering design of ventilation, heating and colling installations under the supervision of an experienced engineer.\nConducts engineering design of water distribution (cold, hot, industrial, etc), wastewater distribution and rainwater distribution under the supervision of an experienced engineer.\nConducts engineering design of general lighting, emergency lighting, power distribution (up to 1kV), fire signaling systems, burglary and CCTV systems, under the supervision of an experienced engineer.\nDesigns, calculates, sketches, 3D modeling, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.\nBuild proficiency in REVIT and other software used in the design process.\nPerforms the tasks within the agreed-upon budget and schedule.\nPrepare reports and presentations as directed by senior engineers.\nFollow company standards and procedures including design and checking.\nPreparing all the necessary drawings for the specific phase of projects (report, 2D plans, schematics, sections).\nQualifications & Experience:\nMandatory:\nBachelor’s degree in building services.\nGood knowledge of design software (e.g. AutoCAD) and calculation software, specific for each discipline.\nMinimum of 1 year experience in HVAC engineering is required.\nStrong English language skills.\nEager to learn new capabilities and skills.\nGood understanding of norms and standards related to HVAC.\nCandidate to show problem solving skills, creativity, to show proactivity and analytical skills.\nGood planning, organizational, and communication skills are necessary for success in this position.\nTo show interest in personal and professional growth, in a challenging, rewarding, and competitive professional environment.\nTo be able to perform his/her own quality check and to be conscious around safety in design principles.\nNice to have:\nMaster’s degree in building services.\nBasic knowledge of Revit MEP.\nBasic knowledge of electrical specialized software (Revit, EPLAN, Amtech, Intelec, etc.).\nBasic knowledge of mechanical (building services) specialized software (Revit, HAP, Design Builder etc.).\nParticipation in internships for AEC companies.\nCandidate to show out-of-the box thinking in order to identify any opportunities for automation or innovation.\nKey attributes:\nProfessional approach to time, costs, and deadlines.\nCapable of working withing a team.\nHas a supportive attitude.\nProactive in asking questions.\nGood communication skills, both verbal and written.\nWhy Arcadis?\nWe can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
