Lead the development of creative solutions for new bridge designs and rehabilitation projects, drawing on your expertise in inspections, investigations, and the preparation of technical assessment reports. At Arcadis, you’ll help shape resilient, future-ready communities and advance your career within a global leader in sustainable design.\nRole accountabilities:\nIn this role, you will take the lead in preparing both preliminary and detailed designs for bridges, culverts, and other transportation-related structures. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include performing structural analysis and calculations to ensure the safety, durability, and efficiency of our projects. The successful candidate will demonstrate a keen attention to detail while preparing comprehensive reports and contract documents, helping to lay the foundation for successful project delivery.\nCollaboration will be at the heart of your work, as you coordinate and review drawing production and maintain close communication with other engineering disciplines. Your ability to foster teamwork and project collaboration will be essential in delivering high-quality results. In addition, you will serve as a key point of contact during the construction phase, providing construction liaison services and conducting site inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications. Upholding rigorous quality control and quality assurance standards will be a central part of your role.\nBeyond technical skills, you will have a passion for mentoring, coaching, and inspiring others within the team. Sharing your knowledge and supporting the professional growth of junior team members will contribute to our collaborative culture. You will also play a part in the business development process by assisting with the preparation of proposals and bids for new work, helping Arcadis to continue building a strong portfolio of impactful projects.\nQualifications & Experience:\nUndergraduate or graduate degree in Civil / Structural Engineering from an accredited university \nLicensed Professional Engineer with Professional Engineers Ontario (or other Provincial Association) \nMinimum Seven (7) years of design experience for new bridges and bridge rehabilitations for various bridge types and materials including highway and rail bridges \nKnowledge in structural analysis software for the evaluation and analysis of all types of bridges and working knowledge of CAD software \nExperience and proven knowledge of the Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code, and provincial/territorial standards \nInitiative and ability to work independently and to provide direction to other members of a Project Team with a collaborative attitude \nA commitment to deadlines, excellence and high quality work with a strong attention to detail and accuracy \nAnalytical thinker and problem solver with the ability to present ideas and design rational \nExperience on MTO projects and qualify for RAQS will be considered as an asset.\nWhy Arcadis?\nWe can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best. The base salary represents Arcadis’ hiring range for this position.
