In this role, you will lead a national group of environmental compliance and permitting, health and safety, air quality, product stewardship and sustainability, and environmental due diligence professionals. You will work with a multidisciplinary team that includes environmental permits and planning, digital EHS, industrial hygiene, and hazardous building materials professionals.\nYou will lead the Service Area group in delivering high-value services and advancing capability development, operational excellence, and client satisfaction through strategic oversight and leadership. You will build and sustain strong client relationships while supporting the generation and conversion of new business opportunities.\nThis role combines operational leadership, client relationship management, and practice growth and development. You will collaborate with Arcadis client development and technical service leaders to grow the EHS management and compliance client and project portfolios across a targeted range of industries and sectors.\nRole accountabilities:\nIn this role, you will establish the near- and long-term vision and strategic goals for the practice, translating them into priorities that strengthen capability, support growth, and reinforce a high-performance culture. You will lead and mentor talent, promote professional growth, recruit and develop the team, and build the capabilities required to meet the practice’s growth goals. You will also foster a collaborative environment that enables teams and teamwork across disciplines, stakeholders, and geographies.\nThe successful candidate will cultivate Arcadis’ key and emerging client relationships and identify new business opportunities, with particular focus on enterprise-wide EHS programs. You will partner with client development and technical service leaders to expand the EHS management and compliance portfolio, contribute to the development and winning of new business, and represent Arcadis in industry forums, conferences, and publications. You will strengthen the practice’s market position by developing and sharing intellectual capital, including white papers, frameworks, and case studies.\nYou will oversee project execution and delivery, including timeliness and budgets, and provide the operational and financial management needed to deliver high-value services consistently. You will implement process improvements and scalable systems, while leveraging and promoting digital tools, artificial intelligence, standardization, and automation to support continuous improvements in productivity and market competitiveness. You will guide multidisciplinary teams delivering complex work across multiple stakeholders and geographies and will influence stakeholders to drive outcomes.\nSuccess in this role will be reflected in the practice’s ability to achieve its strategic and growth goals; build and sustain strong client relationships; generate and convert new business opportunities; deliver complex projects on time and within budget; strengthen team capability and professional growth; improve operational performance through scalable processes and technology; and maintain high levels of client satisfaction and market visibility.\nQualifications & Experience:\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in engineering, a related science, or an EHS-related field. \nRequired experience\nA minimum of 15 years of relevant consulting or industry experience. \nDemonstrated technical expertise in EHS compliance and management services. \nStrong consulting, client management, stakeholder engagement, and influencing capabilities, with the ability to drive outcomes. \nA proven ability to build, maintain, and grow client relationships, together with a track record of contributing to the development and winning of new business. \nExperience leading multidisciplinary project teams and delivering complex projects across multiple stakeholders and geographies. \nExperience overseeing project execution, delivery timelines, and budgets, and implementing process improvements and scalable systems. \nExperience leading and developing talent, building team capability, fostering a high-performance culture, and enabling collaborative teamwork. \nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to represent an organization in industry forums, conferences, publications, and thought-leadership activities. \nWhy Arcadis?\nWe can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
