In this position, you will lead the development of wastewater models, manage key project aspects, and work closely with the UK modelling team and the clients to build and expand Arcadis’s project portfolio through strategic client interactions. You will form the core of an expanding modelling team in GEC-India. Collaboration, proactive problem-solving, and creative thinking are central to our team’s approach, and will be a fundamental part of your role.\nOur team is at the forefront of tackling some of the UK’s most technically demanding projects and AMP8 programmes. Our projects focus on addressing flooding challenges, reducing storm overflow pollution, and improving network resilience, all while ensuring compliance with UK regulatory requirements, and adhering to industry best practices.\nThis position is perfect for a motivated and independent professional looking to further their career while mentoring and nurturing the development of others. The role involves taking a leadership position in team building and technical support, client engagement and management, particularly with water utilities, ensuring technical deliverables align with client expectations and fostering opportunities for continued collaboration and growth.\nRole accountabilities:\nDeliver a range of wastewater infrastructure and non-infrastructure modelling projects, effectively managing tasks of various scales.\nConduct technical reviews of wastewater models, oversee model build and verification of sewer networks, oversee survey planning and management, develop strategic solutions as per clients’ requirements\nProvide support to designers at concept outline and detailed design stages\nReview and enhance technical reports and presentations to uphold high-quality standards.\nResolve technical modelling challenges on projects and contribute to advancing the team's technical expertise\nEnsure project components, including reports, drawings, specifications, and studies, comply with relevant standards and project requirements\nCollaborate closely with clients, providing clear explanations and ensuring they understand model outputs and processes.\nSupport and guide junior team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. \nAssist with preparation of bids including narratives, cost estimates and programmes.\nCoordinate project elements, managing resource allocation, quality assurance, subcontractor interactions, and client feedback.\nWork alongside specialists from other engineering and environmental disciplines to ensure project integrity.\nLiaise effectively with the Project Director or Manager and the client to support project progress.\nFoster a collaborative work environment by actively supporting the professional development of both yourself and your team, guiding junior members to reach their full potential.\nQualifications & Experience:\nHave 11-14 years of experience Masters in Water Resources Management/Environment/Civil Engineering or Equivalent\nAdvanced expertise in hydraulic modelling for a range of wastewater infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects\nSkilled in team and stakeholder coordination and management\nProficient in InfoWorks ICM \nHADES knowledge would be advantageous\nCompetent in using relevant GIS software packages\nChartered member of a relevant professional institution (e.g., ICE or CIWEM)\nProven experience in model quality assurance procedures\nStrong report-writing skills\nAdvanced abilities in spreadsheet-based data analysis\nCoding/Automation experience desirable\nWhy Arcadis?\nWe can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
