With the power of many curious minds, together we can solve the world’s most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.\nOverall Responsibilities:\nThe main responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:\nPreparing and reviewing engineering deliverables including complex reports, proposals, presentations, and drawing packages.\nHV transmission and distribution substations secondary systems electrical design: protection and control schematics, wiring diagrams, protection and control room layout, IED selection.\nConducting protection coordination and developing tripping schemes. \nTaking personal responsibility for the preparation of detailed engineering documentation and leading the engineering effort for project including providing technical and performance oversight for team members.\nTo manage selected projects, project task/responsibilities as assigned, and/or design processes (or parts of projects) to meet agreed budget, quality, and timeframe targets.\nTo deliver fully documented designs to meet Client objectives and ARCADIS quality system requirements.\nEnsure application of relevant international / EU standards and engineering knowledge in various projects.\nTechnical Responsibilities:\nApply engineering knowledge, techniques and tools complying with international design standards and EU Codes & Standards relevant to assigned project.\nPrepare document and drawing package for the appropriate project design submission stage complying with codes and standards and delivering the design with high quality.\nConduct internal review and quality checks of engineering drawings and design calculations to ensure compliance with the project's requirements.\nPrepare and register all relevant documentation and design reports and ensure all documentation is accurate and in compliance with the Arcadis and customer requirements.\nLiaise with other disciplines and ensure all requirements are understood.\nUnderstanding scope and change in scope when it arises. \nUse software packages as required for the design and delivery.\nQualifications and Experience:\nAt least 4 years’ experience in substation secondary design, preferably in a consulting environment.\nConsulting experience in EU Energy Transition projects is preferred.\nExperience in CAD documentation to EU Energy standards and other international standards.\nExperience in substation processes from concept stage to construction and As-Builts.\nBachelor Degree of Technology / Science in Electrical Engineering from recognized University.\nExcellent English written and verbal communication skills.\nExcellent mathematical skills applied in engineering calculations.\nOrganizational skills and proactive approach in project management.\nAbility to provide solutions to technical problems.\nActively continue to develop technical knowledge and new emerging technology.\nThe ability to develop complex models in ETAP and conduct protection coordination.\nAt least 2 years’ experience in design & drafting electrical infrastructure in EU, general familiarity with the electricity supply industry, electricity transmission and distribution practices and related topics.\nComputational design, design algorithms and automation of data manipulation.\nOTHERS:\nLiaise with Arcadis lead offices representatives and other consultants as appropriate to the project.\nWorking to achieve project delivery on time to budget and to a high standard meeting Client expectation.\nDevelop study and design procedures to facilitate high-quality and cost-effective work\nPlan, coordinate and mentor junior engineers.\nTake responsibility for defined tasks within prescribed limits.\nGain experience and proficiency in Arcadis’ systems and procedures.\nBecome familiar and compliant with Health and Safety regulations and guidelines.\nWhy Arcadis?\nWe can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
