With the power of many curious minds, together we can solve the world’s most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.\nRole description:\nArcadis is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our Resilience team in either Boca Raton or Plantation, Florida.\nIn this role, you will lead the delivery of large-scale solid waste, recycling, landfill, and municipal infrastructure programs throughout South Florida. The ideal candidate will be a strong project and program manager with experience managing complex projects, coordinating diverse stakeholder groups, overseeing project controls, and ensuring successful execution of schedules, budgets, resources, and deliverables.\nWhile this position is focused on program leadership and project delivery rather than technical design, background, knowledge and technical understanding of solid waste infrastructure and practices is required. You will serve as a trusted advisor to clients while managing multidisciplinary teams, overseeing multiple concurrent projects, driving accountability, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with client objectives.\nRole accountabilities:\nIn this role, you will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale solid waste, recycling, landfill, and municipal infrastructure programs throughout South Florida. You will be responsible for managing project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, project controls, and stakeholder expectations while ensuring successful delivery across multiple concurrent projects and workstreams. You will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing program leadership and maintaining accountability across project teams, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.\nAdditional responsibilities include:\nLeading large-scale solid waste, recycling, landfill, environmental, and municipal infrastructure projects and programs from initiation through completion.\nManaging project schedules, budgets, forecasts, resources, deliverables, and project controls to ensure successful execution and delivery.\nCoordinating multidisciplinary teams, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders across multiple projects and locations.\nEstablishing project governance processes and providing regular reporting on schedule, budget, risk, and overall program performance.\nIdentifying and proactively mitigating project risks, issues, and potential schedule impacts while implementing corrective actions when needed.\nServing as the primary point of contact for clients while facilitating communication, managing expectations, and ensuring alignment among project stakeholders.\nSupporting business development activities, client relationship management, strategic pursuits, staff development, and program growth opportunities throughout South Florida.\nSome travel may be required for client meetings, project site visits, business development activities, and other project-related needs.\nQualifications & Experience:\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Environmental Sciences, Project Management, Public Administration, Business, or a related field.\nA minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible project and program management experience overseeing large, complex infrastructure, solid waste, environmental, or municipal projects.\nKey Skills & Attributes\nThe ideal candidate is an experienced project and program management professional with a strong background in solid waste, recycling, landfill operations, environmental infrastructure, or municipal public works programs. They possess exceptional organizational and leadership skills and have a proven ability to manage large, complex projects with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.\nThe successful candidate will have expertise in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, project controls, resource coordination, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and executive-level reporting. Strong communication, leadership, and client management skills are essential, along with the ability to keep teams aligned, accountable, and focused on successful project outcomes.\nPreferred Qualifications\nThe preferred candidate will have demonstrated experience managing project schedules, budgets, resources, deliverables, stakeholders, project controls, and risk management activities across large and complex programs. They will have a proven track record of leading multidisciplinary teams and successfully delivering multiple concurrent projects within established timelines and budgets.\nExperience managing municipal solid waste, waste-to-energy, recycling, landfill, transfer station, materials management, resource recovery, environmental compliance, or public works programs is highly preferred. Demonstrated success delivering large capital improvement programs, multi-year infrastructure initiatives, or enterprise-level municipal programs is strongly desired.\nExisting relationships with municipal, county, environmental, public works, or solid waste authority clients throughout South Florida are a plus. A Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Public Administration, Project Management, or a related field is preferred.
