People and communities thrive when the spaces in which they live, work, move and play are designed and managed in a way that best meets their needs.\nYou will be responsible for leading, managing, and designing medium-sized projects, ensuring all client and project requirements are met. This role supports senior engineers on complex elements and structures, working with a high degree of independence and minimal supervision. You will also plays a key leadership role within the sector/discipline, offering technical advice and setting a professional example for others.\nRole accountabilities:\nApply engineering techniques in line with international and local structural design codes (UK, US, EU, etc.).\nDeliver design tasks, checks, and detailing consistent with 8-10 years’ experience.\nCollaborate with Arcadis GECs, other disciplines, regions, and clients for coordinated project delivery.\nUndertake structural analysis and design to meet project requirements, timeframes, budgets, and quality standards.\nUse advanced engineering/drafting software and apply complex design code requirements.\nModel medium to large structures from scratch, ensuring accuracy and compliance.\nDevelop and manage time estimates, schedules, and resource plans for projects.\nContinuously improve technical knowledge and skills in structural engineering.\nLead and enhance effective, efficient design workflows and processes.\nConduct quality checks and internal reviews of engineering drawings and calculations.\nLiaise with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated project delivery.\nPrepare, register, and maintain accurate design documentation and technical reports.\nProvide regular project updates to Function Leaders and Design Managers.\nEstimate man-hour and budget requirements for project scopes.\nLead and support project teams, promoting collaboration, morale, and career development.\nMonitor and support junior team members, providing training and resolving performance issues.\nBuild strong relationships with colleagues, regional counterparts, and clients to secure repeat business.\nEnsure compliance with scope of work, schedules, cost controls, and Arcadis policies.\nParticipate in and promote digital initiatives and automation of design processes.\nAdhere to Health & Safety regulations and company guidelines.\nPerform additional duties as required by management or the business. \nQualifications & Experience:\nGraduate of Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering\nLicensed Registered Civil Engineer\n8 to 10 years minimum relevant post-graduate experience.\nExperience working in a design consultancy firm.\nExperience in designing data centers\nExpert in one or more of the following design and analysis software such as ETABS, SAFE, PROKON, TEDDS, STAAD, RISA, RAM Connection, etc\nFamiliar in the complex US Design Code requirements of ACI, ASCE, AISC, etc and the theories and concepts behind the requirements\nExcellent problem solving and mathematical skills applied in structural engineering based on years’ experience and background\nHave excellent interpersonal and communication skills and is fluent in written and spoken English\nAbility to lead, with good influencing, motivating and delegating skills.\nHighly proficient in structural engineering design fundamentals\nShould be able to perform more complex RC and steel detailing requirements\nCan analyse and design more complex elements such transfer structures, pilecaps, mat foundations, seismic systems, corbels, etc\nActively continue to develop personally and technical knowledge and new emerging technology through regular CPD training.\nWhy Arcadis?\nWe can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
