You will be responsible for providing guidance and training to our in-house engineering team by giving principal level advice on system selection, trends in the market, specialty consulting advice, and client contact/context. As an SME, you will help give our clients confidence in the teams we have assembled and help in creating winning strategies and resumes for opportunities. Some travel will be required to visit project sites and attend client meetings.\nRole accountabilities:\nAssist in client contact, connections, and finding opportunities, increasing the mission critical work that Arcadis performs\nProvide expert consultant mechanical engineering advice to our clients in the data center space\nFamiliarity with industry standards, building codes, both in how those specifically apply to data centers and how they may change for the mission critical industry going forward\nGuide as to the pros and cons of system types and rack cooling strategies\nCoordinate with other internal/external engineering disciplines, vendors, and contractors\nAct as point of contact for mechanical discipline in high-level and key decision discussions with data center clients\nParticipate in all phases of a project from pursuit and proposals through design, and construction\nCreate thought leadership opportunities to expand Arcadis's touch and brand in the data center market\nAssist in the preparation of proposals, specifically the potential engineering approach and strategy for winning\nTravel as required to attend pursuit discussions, project meetings, and collaboration with clients’ team members\nWork in a collaborative team environment that includes colleagues from locations throughout the world\nProvide mentoring to staff \nQualifications & Experience:\nBS/MS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent\n2 or more years of relevant experience in data center Mechanical Engineering\nPE Registration\nPreferred Qualifications:\n5 years' experience in Data Center / Mission Critical system design including data centers and other facilities with need for resiliency/redundancy\nContinue your career journey as an Arcadian.\nWe can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
