Given that we’re a startup, you will be working in a fast-moving, dynamic environment that requires adaptability. Still, there are some responsibilities and qualifications we expect to stay relatively constant in this role.\nWhat You'll Do\nLeading and maintaining Environmental, Health, and Safety programs across the organization, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements while fostering a culture of safety and environmental responsibility\nWorking closely with operations leadership, engineers, and employees at all levels to implement best-in-class safety initiatives and drive continuous improvement\nMaintaining and improving occupational safety programs such as high-voltage, crane safety, chemical management, incident management, industrial ergonomics, industrial hygiene, and air quality.\nManaging safety ticketing system and associated metrics \nLeading accident/incidents investigations, analyze root causes, and implement preventative actions; Managing occupational and/or workers compensation injuries\nIdentifying proactive workplace safety opportunities in a manufacturing environment and documenting safety inspections \nOwning all hazardous and non-hazardous waste management, including proper handling, labeling, and storage\nRecognizing requirements and ensuring compliance to safety programs and standards including: hazard communication, fall protection, respiratory protection, lockout/tag-out (LOTO), machine guarding, power & hand-held tools, electrical, emergency response, and chemical management\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Environmental Health, Safety Management, Occupational Safety or a related field; or equivalent work experience\n3+ years of managing and implementing Environmental, Health, and Safety programs in an engineering or manufacturing environment. \nStrong working knowledge of applicable regulations (OSHA, CalOSHA, EPA, CUPA, SCAQMD, NIOSH)\nWorking knowledge of ANSI standards\nBonus Qualifications\nStartup or high-growth company experience\nExperience establishing safety culture in young organizations\nProactive safety mindset\nExperience in hardware manufacturing \nComfortable pushing a fast but sustainable pace\nEnthusiasm for boating and clean energy\nAt Arc, we encourage diversity and consider all qualified applicants equally for employment, regardless of background, identity, or status.
