You’ll thrive here if you adapt quickly, take ownership, and care about the details.\nYou will join our Software Engineering team as a summer intern from June 14th-August 20th 2027. You will work from our headquarters in Torrance, CA. Given that we’re a startup, you will be working in a fast-moving, dynamic environment that requires adaptability.\nThat said, here are some responsibilities and qualifications we expect to stay relatively constant for this role.\nWhat You'll Do\nContributing to the boat infotainment unit, mobile app, backend, or boat firmware\nOwning a project end-to-end that meaningfully drives the business forward\nCollaborating with members of the software team as well as other stakeholders\nMinimum Qualifications\nFamiliarity with at least one general purpose programming language\nStrong software development fundamentals\nProductive with standard software development tools (an IDE, git, the command line, etc.)\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment.\nEagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic setting.\nAbility to effectively communicate progress and status of your work\nBonus Qualifications\nCurrent enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Computer Science, or a related field\nExperience with one of:Frontend or mobile development\nBackend development using Python or Typescript and AWS\nFirmware development using STM32 microcontrollers\n\nA track record of successful internships\nComfortable pushing at a fast but sustainable pace\nEnthusiasm for boating and clean energy\nAt Arc, we encourage diversity and consider all qualified applicants equally for employment, regardless of background, identity, or status.
