Given that we’re a startup, you will be working in a fast-moving, dynamic environment that requires adaptability. That said, here are some responsibilities and qualifications we expect to stay relatively constant for this role.\nWhat You'll Do\nPlanning and designing prototype tests and procedures \nFabricating and assembling fixtures, test stands, and wire harnesses\nDiagnosing, reporting, and repairing technical issues on prototype boats\nWorking alongside test engineers to build and instrument test setups\nOverseeing and maintaining test facilities, assets, and prototypes to meet test schedules\nSafely conduct bench tests in the lab and on-vehicle tests in the field to collect data\nMinimum Qualifications\n3+ years of experience in a test/product development manufacturing environment\nAble to work independently with minimal supervision and a proactive mindset\nRead and follow engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and work instructions\nExperience with test instrumentation (accelerometers, strain gauges, load cells, transducers, microphones, voltage sensors, thermocouples, RTDs)\nExperience with data acquisition systems (National Instruments or Dewesoft)\nExperience using mechanical power tools and machining tools\nOrganized and quality oriented with attention to detail\nProficient computer skills, able to run test procedures, gather data, and provide results\nAble to work well on a team with a positive attitude\nAble to stand 6-10 hours per day and lift up to 50 lbs\nUp to 25% travel \nNeed to be able to trailer a boat and eligible to drive for work\nThis is an active role that will require consistent physical activity as well as the ability to lift, push, and pull 50 lbs\nAbility to go complete activities on the water\nValid Drivers’ license\nBonus Qualifications\nKnowledge using TIG and MIG welding for steel and aluminum\nExposure to rapid prototyping and 3D printing\nPrior experience in a fast-paced product development setting\nPrior experience executing environmental testing\nComfortable working 50 hours a week\nEnthusiasm for boating, electric vehicles, and clean energy\nPrior experience with HV battery service or development testing\nAt Arc, we encourage diversity and consider all qualified applicants equally for employment, regardless of background, identity, or status.
