This role requires a practical, hands-on approach and the ability to balance day-to-day operational support with longer-term improvement initiatives.\nTasks & Responsibilities:\nDemonstrate a commitment to safety and environmental stewardship by supporting compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.\nProvide engineering support for plant equipment, production processes, and maintenance activities across assigned areas of responsibility.\nMaintain a strong field presence to observe equipment performance, engage with Operations and\nMaintenance personnel, and identify opportunities to improve safety, reliability, and efficiency.\nTroubleshoot equipment failures, process disruptions, and performance issues to minimize downtime and maximize asset utilization.\nLead and participate in root cause analysis investigations and develop effective corrective and preventive actions.\nAnalyze equipment history, maintenance data, process performance, and reliability trends to identify recurring issues and long-term improvement opportunities.\nSupport the development and execution of preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance strategies.\nDevelop and implement engineering solutions that improve equipment reliability, maintainability, operability, and lifecycle performance.\nSupport planning and execution of maintenance outages, shutdowns, and major repair activities.\nPrepare and review technical specifications, scopes of work, engineering drawings, and contractor deliverables.\nSupport capital projects from concept development through commissioning and startup.\nCollaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Reliability, and other stakeholders to improve equipment performance, product quality, production efficiency, and cost effectiveness.\nParticipate in Management of Change (MOC), risk assessments, incident investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nDevelop, review, and improve maintenance procedures, standards, and best practices.\nServe as a technical coach and mentor to Operations and Maintenance personnel by sharing knowledge, supporting workforce development, and promoting equipment ownership and reliability best practices.\nAssist in the training and development of employees by providing technical instruction, field coaching, and hands-on guidance related to equipment operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and reliability principles.\nBuild strong working relationships across all levels of the organization and foster a culture of teamwork, continuous learning, and accountability.\nQualifications:\nBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.\nFive (5) years of engineering experience in a heavy industrial, manufacturing, mining, steel, petrochemical, refinery, power generation, cement, or similar industrial environment.\nDemonstrated experience supporting maintenance, operations, reliability, or process improvement activities within an operating facility.\nHands-on experience troubleshooting mechanical equipment failures and implementing sustainable solutions.\nExperience leading or participating in root cause failure analyses and corrective action development.\nDemonstrated ability to work directly with maintenance technicians, operators, contractors, and frontline supervision in a field-based environment.\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, equipment manuals, technical specifications, and
