The team's strong multicultural diversity, with over 30 nationalities, offers international experience and makes it possible to meet global needs.\nYour role\nWe are looking for an Engineer with a strong knowledge in Metallurgy / Materials Science.\nYou will be in charge of R&D Projects dedicated to different metallurgy-related topics, focused on structural steel products manufactured in ArcelorMittal Long Products plants :\nDevelopment of new high strength steels for structural long products.\nOptimization of the metallurgical route (Chemistry & Process).\nIn-depth investigation of the application properties.\nIntegration in products/application standards and follow-up of the standardization process.\nTo that end, you will work in close collaboration with local and Global R&D colleagues, with the teams from the plants and as well with Sales / marketing departments.\nYou will manage the close follow-up of the industrial trials and production campaigns.\nYou will also be a reference in your field of expertise, and provide additional support for all other Metallurgy-related Projects.\nInvolvement in the standardization committees in link with our steel long products is to be expected, as well as technical assistance when backup is needed to answer requests from our customers.\nPunctual business trips are expected in case of needs (Europe, North America).\nYour profile\nYou hold a Master's degree or a PhD in Metallurgy or Material Science.\nYou have a solid background in Physical Metallurgy and a good understanding of the metallurgical mechanisms taking place all along the manufacturing route of steel products (secondary metallurgy, continuous casting, hot rolling, heat treatment...).\nYou are able to analyze a complex process, to integrate external knowledge and to implement practical solutions and work in an industrial environment.\nYou are able to lead and manage projects independently and deliver high quality results.\nYou are able to carry out a technological watch.\nYou are fluent in English and in French.\nYou feel comfortable working in an office environment as well as on the field.\nYou are persevering, creative and a source of proposals in your work.\nYou are organized and rigorous in the reporting of your work and respect of deadlines.\nAccording to ArcelorMittal Global R&D values:\nYou agree to comply with health and safety rules.\nYou are respectful, transparent, honest, and empathetic in your relationships.
