This role is responsible for operating machines, inspecting parts, and maintaining production flow while ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency standards are met.\nThis is an entry-level position with opportunities for growth into advanced machining and setup roles.\nKey Responsibilities\nMachine Operation\nOperate automatic and semi-automatic machines to produce parts per blueprints and job travelers\nLoad materials into machines, including maintaining bar feeders\nMonitor machine operation and identify issues such as malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions\nMake basic machine adjustments as needed\nInspection & Quality\nInspect parts using gauges and measurement tools to ensure conformance to specifications\nFollow SPC procedures and inspection methods (including 3-cup system)\nMaintain accuracy and quality in all work performed\nProduction & Documentation\nRecord production data, inspection results, and shift activity in ERP or shop floor systems\nComplete required documentation such as inspection forms and production logs\nWrite clear and accurate shift notes\nMaterial Handling & Housekeeping\nClean, count, and package finished product\nPerform basic preventative maintenance tasks such as chip removal, oil cleanup, and machine cleaning\nMaintain clean and organized work area\nCommunication & Teamwork\nCommunicate machine, material, or quality issues to supervisors or leads\nFollow instructions from supervisors and adhere to standard procedures\nSupport team productivity and workflow\nSafety\nFollow all safety procedures and wear required PPE\nReport unsafe conditions and use equipment properly\nQualifications\nRequired\nHigh School Diploma or GED\nBasic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals)\nAbility to follow instructions and read basic production documentation\nBasic computer skills\nPreferred\nPrior manufacturing or machine shop experience\nTechnical school or coursework in machining or manufacturing\nCore Competencies\nAttention to detail and commitment to quality\nAbility to follow processes and instructions consistently\nDependability and strong work ethic\nBasic problem-solving skills\nAbility to work in a team environment\nAdditional Notes ARCH Global Precision is an Equal Opportunity Employee and wholeheartedly supports diversity in the workplace as a basic premise for business success.
