You’ll have the independence to manage your responsibilities and the opportunity to make a measurable impact as the business grows.\nPermanent part-time role (30 hours across 5 days), potentially scaling into a full-time position as business demands expand.\nHow you’ll make an impact:\nKey Responsibilities\nFinance & Accounting: Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks, reconcile accounts, resolve discrepancies, and manage supplier invoices, expenses, and payments. \nAccounts: Monitor accounts payable and receivable, review historical accounting issues, and support month-end reporting, VAT preparation, and year-end activities. \nPayroll: Process monthly UK payroll, maintain employee payroll and pension records, and complete reconciliations and required submissions. \nPurchasing & Procurement: Support the Finance Lead/CFO with purchasing, invoice matching, receipt management, and accurate recordkeeping. \nProcess Improvement: Maintain financial spreadsheets and documentation, helping improve accounting and purchasing processes as new systems are introduced. \nTo succeed in this role, you must have:\nAt least 2 years' experience in finance and QuickBooks \nExperience processing UK monthly payroll. \nConfident Excel and Microsoft Office skills \nExcellent attention to detail, organisation and accuracy \nDesirable:\nAAT level 2+, or equivalent practical experience \nFamiliarity with financial software and tools such as Zoho, Pleo and Revolut \nBy joining us, you’ll get:\nThe ability to make a measurable difference in the creation of cutting-edge technology in a rapidly growing start-up. \nFast-paced environment with a world-class, positive, talented, and high-achieving team \nForward-thinking, supportive culture with company off-site strategic alignment \nGrowth and training resources \nMerit-based compensation. \n5% employer pensions contribution and Pension Salary Sacrifice \n25 days holiday + UK bank holidays including an extra day for every 2 years of service. \nMedical and dental insurance \nRelocation of support packages \nTeam Socials \nA variety of perks that are always evolving: Free Monday team lunch, Cycle2work scheme, access to your favorite app subscription, plus many more in the works! \nLocation:\nThis is primarily an office-based role in Oxford.
