Technicians will primarily perform access control and security system installation, with a strong focus on structured cabling for security cameras, access control devices, and other low-voltage security infrastructure.\nThe ideal candidate has hands-on experience installing low-voltage security systems in commercial, industrial, or data center environments and is comfortable working with cable tray, ladder rack, J-hooks, conduit, and other structured cabling pathways.\nKey Responsibilities\nInstall structured cabling for access control systems, security cameras, and other Division 28 systems.\nPull, route, dress, secure, and label low-voltage cabling throughout large-scale data center environments.\nInstall cabling for access control devices including card readers, door contacts, request-to-exit devices, and other security equipment.\nInstall and route cabling for CCTV/IP security camera systems.\nTerminate and test copper/low-voltage cabling.\nMaintain clean and organized cable installations while following proper bend radius, support, separation, and cable-management requirements.\nWork with cable tray, ladder rack, J-hooks, conduit, and other pathways.\nRead and interpret blueprints, security drawings, cable schedules, and installation plans.\nPerform cable labeling and identification according to project standards.\nAssist with testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of security cabling and devices.\nCoordinate with foremen, project managers, electricians, and other trades to complete installations efficiently.\nMaintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment while following all data center and job-site safety requirements.\nQualifications\nPrevious experience as a Security Technician, Access Control Technician, Low-Voltage Technician, or Structured Cabling Technician.\nHands-on experience with access control and/or security camera systems.\nExperience pulling and installing low-voltage structured cabling.\nAbility to read basic blueprints, drawings, and cable schedules.\nFamiliarity with cable tray, ladder rack, J-hooks, and conduit.\nAbility to properly terminate, label, organize, and test cabling.\nData center construction experience is strongly preferred.\nOSHA 10 certification is preferred.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a larger construction team.\nPreferred Experience\nData center security installations\nCCTV/IP camera systems\nAccess control systems\nCat5e/Cat6/Cat6A structured cabling\nCable testing and troubleshooting\nDivision 28 electronic safety and security systems\nWorking on large-scale commercial or industrial construction projects\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to lift and carry tools, cable, and equipment.\nAbility to work from ladders, lifts, and elevated platforms.\nAbility to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work overhead for extended periods.\nAbility to work in an active construction and data center environment.\nMust be able to wear required PPE and comply with all site-specific safety
