The Software Engineer is expected to mentor engineers, influence architectural direction, and ensure production stability of analytics-enabled applications.\nJob Responsibilities:\nTechnical Leadership & Architecture\nServe as a technical lead for analytics-enabled applications, APIs, and backend services supporting predictive models and analytical tools. \nContribute to solution architecture, design standards, and best practices for scalable, cloud-native analytics platforms. \nEvaluate, recommend, and implement new technologies and frameworks aligned with Azure and analytics modernization initiatives. \nEnsure adherence to secure coding standards, performance benchmarks, and enterprise engineering guidelines. \nSoftware Development & Engineering\nDesign, develop, and maintain Python-based backend services supporting analytical models and data-driven applications. \nLead the development and integration of RESTful APIs, ensuring reliability, scalability, and test coverage. \nBuild and support applications leveraging Azure Functions, Azure Container Apps, Blob Storage, and Azure SQL. \nEnsure high-quality code through code reviews, unit testing, and technical documentation. \nDevOps, Cloud & Automation\nLead and improve CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps to enable automated testing, deployment, and monitoring. \nCollaborate with DevOps and platform teams to optimize cloud resource utilization, cost efficiency, and system resilience. \nSupport production releases, incident response, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives. \nApplication Support & Operations\nProvide Level 3 application support for analytics platforms, including issue investigation, resolution, and post-incident reviews. \nProactively identify risks and performance bottlenecks and escalate critical issues when required. \nPartner with business and analytics stakeholders to ensure solutions meet functional and operational requirements. \nCollaboration & People Development\nMentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers, fostering technical growth and engineering discipline. \nWork closely with data scientists, actuaries, product owners, and global technology teams to translate analytical requirements into production-ready solutions. \nAct as a technical point of contact for analytics engineering initiatives within the region. \n Required Skills:\n8-12 years of professional experience in software engineering, backend development, or analytics platforms \nStrong, hands-on expertise in Python development for enterprise-grade applications \nProven experience building and consuming RESTful APIs \nExperience with cloud-native and serverless architectures, preferably in Microsoft Azure \nSolid experience with SQL and data warehouse platforms (Azure SQL, Snowflake, or equivalent) \nDemonstrated experience supporting production systems and user-facing applications \nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills \nExcellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams \nTechnical Skills: Required (R) / Optional (O)\nPython R\nApplication Development and
