The incumbent operates independently on most assignments, under general guidelines and objectives.\nJob Responsibilities:\nWorks and partners with Program Developers, Agile Program Manager (APM) and Digital Product Managers (DPM), developing, deploying and maintaining database solutions utilizing various database technologies.\nPerforms database object development and promotion to support program initiatives.\nPerforms regular performance monitoring and analysis.\nCompletes database scripting and or programming tasks using various languages.\nResponsible for database backups and restores along with masking of NPI data. Ensures database security\nCaptures system specifications and translates them into database artifacts. These typically include design specifications, source code DML DDL development and utilization of extended RDBMS product features.\nCollaborates with senior database peers and programs to ensure standards are kept in accordance with database architecture principles and modeling best practices.\nMaintains schema design utilizing data models and standardized scripting methods. Builds database objects derived from modeling. Programs objects such as procedures, functions, and triggers to meet application objectives and application performance.\nCollaborates with developers and end users to ensure that all database DDL, DML is tested adequately. Communicates any identified issues to developers and senior database engineers. Works with ATS to resolve related tasks.\nTracks and communicates issues to senior peers and APM/DPM for assistance with resolution.\nDeploys methods to streamline existing processes\nDocuments new or existing processes.\n High proficiency in the theoretical/ practical application of database best practices, methods, & techniques\nExtensive experience in administering, developing and maintaining databases in one or more of the following database technologies. SQL Server, DB2 UDB, MongoDB, Snowflake\nBroad knowledge of database development, monitoring, and management related tools, solarwinds preferred.\nStrong modeling, schema design, scripting and programming skills. Erwin preferred.\nBroad knowledge of database technology trends and database technology areas.\nExcellent interpersonal & communication skills with a teamwork focus. Good tasks management abilities with an attention to detail. Is customer service oriented and operates with a sense of urgency to maintain expected service levels.
