Procurement Engineer (Electrical)

Job Description

The Procurement Engineer will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials, equipment, and services required for engineering projects. He / She will be in close cooperation with the Procurement Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake the procurement and the pricing of the assigned packages to support Projects execution and Tenders preparation process.
• For assigned packages, source and propose the Bidders from registered Client and Company approved vendor lists and based on approved Procurement strategy
• Investigate market for new vendors when new project countries or new scope is involved
• Coordinate with all relevant in-house departments to ensure all requirements are included in the bidding documents and prepare/issue the Invitation to Bid (ITB) to the selected suppliers.
• Expedite firmly with and manage properly the market to achieve a minimum number of competitive offers acquisition.
• Maintain the Procurement Plan up to date
• Experience in working in international environment will be considered an asset
• Closely interface with the technical responsible and lead all technical / commercial / contractual clarifications with the suppliers.
• Liaise with Projects teams to define optimum vendors list and actual market prices.
• Perform commercial analysis and prices benchmarking versus Company’s historic database, schedule evaluation of bids and incorporate technical evaluation from Engineering.
• Finalize the Comparison Statement (CS) of the quotations and make recommendations for the technically acceptable offers.

What you will need to have:

• MSc Engineering University degree in one of the relevant fields (Electrical)
• Motivation to learn and grow in Archirodon in the Procurement Dept
• Persistence and self-organizational integrity in fulfilling the work in its deep detail
• 3 - 5 years working experience and one experience as Procurement Engineer/Site Engineer/Tender Engineer.
• Adequate knowledge of commercial aspects.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks with minimum supervision and very short deadlines
• Commitment to deadlines and task requirements
• Fluency in the English language (oral and written).
• Experience in working in international environment will be considered an asset
