We’re committed to working with industry, our customers, partners and communities to find new opportunities that will support and strengthen our rail network for the benefit of WA.\nThe Opportunity\nWe are currently looking for a Cyber Security Administrator to join our team and assist in safeguarding our infrastructure against evolving cyber threats.\nThe Role\nThe Cyber Security Administrator is responsible for managing, monitoring, and maintaining critical security infrastructure across both IT and OT assets. This role is focused on configuring security tools, responding to incidents, enforcing policies, and ensuring compliance with industry standards such as NIST, ASD, and others. Your work will directly contribute to mitigating security risks and upholding the integrity and availability of systems and data across the organisation. You will play an integral part in delivering key business objectives, collaborating with your manager and peers, and working closely with other Technology Leads to drive continuous improvements in security.\nKey responsibilities:\n1. Service Management & Optimisation\nProvide cyber expertise in security projects to ensure timely delivery and operation of security services.\nManage cyber incidents, coordinating remediations in line with service levels and operational targets.\nOversee the fulfillment of service requests in cybersecurity, ensuring efficient responses to user needs.\n2. Security Administration & Operations\nAdminister and manage security tools such as SIEM, Email Filtering, MFA, endpoint security, and others.\nMonitor alerts, logs, and events, identifying potential threats and responding promptly.\nMaintain security configurations and implement system hardening best practices for IT and OT assets.\nOversee patch management and coordinate timely security updates.\nManage vulnerabilities discovered through audits or vendors, ensuring prompt patching and resolution.\n3. Incident, Problem & Change Management\nAnalyse security breaches, conduct thorough investigations, and present actionable findings.\nManage and coordinate security incidents, ensuring rapid response, mitigation, and follow-up to prevent future occurrences.\nCoordinate changes to security policies, configurations, and procedures, ensuring minimal disruption.\n4. Threat Detection & Incident Response\nInvestigate and respond to security incidents such as malware infections, phishing attempts, and unauthorized access.\nCollaborate with external SOC teams and internal tech teams to analyse and resolve security threats.\nSupport forensic investigations and threat intelligence gathering on cyber events.\nUpdate and maintain incident response plans (IRP) and security playbooks regularly.\n5. Cyber Supply Chain Risk & Vendor Management\nManage third-party vendors providing security services to ensure they meet agreed-upon security standards.\nAssist with outsourced security operations to ensure they meet SLAs and KPIs.\n6. Security & Compliance\nDefine, implement, and mature a NIST-based cybersecurity strategy for IT and OT environments.\nMonitor security events in real-time, detect potential threats, and ensure an appropriate response.\nEnsure compliance with regulatory requirements and ensure ongoing security of systems and data.\nProvide detailed reports on cybersecurity compliance, maturity, and remediation activities to stakeholders and management.\n7. Network & Cloud Security\nMonitor and secure on-premises and cloud environments, including Azure.\nImplement and manage network segmentation, VPN security, and zero-trust architectures.\nDevelop and refine Azure cloud security policies and standards.\n8. Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity\nEnsure active participation in Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCP/DR) planning and testing.\nIntegrate security risks into disaster recovery strategies and support recovery efforts during security incidents.\n9. Continuous Improvement\nDrive the implementation and continual improvement of cybersecurity processes and procedures.\nMaintain and update security knowledge, best practices, and compliance standards across teams.\nEnsure that security processes evolve in alignment with regulatory changes and industry best practices.\nAbout You\nTo excel in this role you will have;\nAt least 5 years of experience as a systems or network administrator, with a focus on security.\nA minimum of 2-3 years in a cybersecurity or information security role.\nStrong understanding of security frameworks such as ISO27001, NIST, ASD, and other relevant standards.\n Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Cyber Security, or related fields, alongside relevant IT/Cyber certifications.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in incident response and vulnerability management.\nFamiliarity with cloud environments (preferably Azure) and network security practices (e.g., VPN, Zero Trust).\nWorking at Arc Infrastructure\nWorking with us means working in a team environment where each person and team is valued for the diverse skills, ideas and experiences they bring.
