Reporting to the Plant Manager, this position resides in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is responsible for specifications and design of plant facilities, controls and equipment for the Arclin Production Facilities that will achieve the desired result in the most cost-efficient manner while enhancing the environment, safety, quality, and long-term profitability of the facility.\nPlant Engineering Manager Responsibilities:\nAccountable for all plant assets; responsible for controlling, tracking and reporting spending of the capital budget and the maintenance\nFunction as a project manager for capital projects\nConfers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards\nHire and supervise all resources in the maintenance\nAnalyzes and plans maintenance work force utilization, predictive/preventative maintenance, space requirements, workflow, and design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency\nProvide technical advice on plant operations and improvements. Prepares engineering analysis of projects that includes preliminary design, detailed design, project cost analysis, life cycle cost analysis and equipment selection\nDevelop, evaluate and improve the manufacturing controls and automation utilizing knowledge of instrumentation, controls & automation, product design, materials, chemicals, and production equipment capabilities.\nLeverage automation and controls to institutionalize consistencies in production\nConduct, facilitate, and participate in PHA, PSSR, and HAZOP\n\nPlant Engineering Manager Requirements:\nS. ideally in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering\n 5+ years plant maintenance/engineering/project engineering experience in chemical or paper manufacturing\nStrong interpersonal skills and demonstrated record of leadership, teamwork, adaptability, innovation and initiative\nAbility to work well with all levels of personnel throughout the facility and the company\nOn call - carries a cell phone and responds to after hour emergencies\n1+ years of experience managing direct reports.\nPreferred:\nExperience in TPM, 6 Sigma, Lean, 5S\nRegistered as a Professional Engineer\nExperience in PSM program implementation and maintenance\nYou can find Arclin everywhere.
