Reporting to the Production Lead, this position is a full-time role that will start in an entry position in our packaging department, but has multiple opportunities to cross-train in other production roles and rapidly advance in pay with our skill-based pay structure. Operators are responsible for performing tasks and duties pertaining to the manufacturing and processing of impregnated surfaces at the site. This role is required to know and perform all assigned production department functions in compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) regulations and Arclin’s policies and procedures to contribute positively to an efficient and safely run operation.\nThis position’s pay range is $22.28 - $34.48 per hour. 12-hour shifts (days/nights continental rotation). An automatic raise to $23.17 is applied after the 3-month probation period.\nWhat You’ll Do: \nInspect and package final product, according to established procedures, standards and HSE regulations\nVerify basic product label information, such as dimensions, sheet counts, etc.\nAssist production line operators with pallet changes, clean ups and start ups\nMaintain general housekeeping of production areas\nAssist with larger production area cleaning tasks\nFollow all site rules and procedures as they apply to quality, health, safety, and the environment\nReport all safety concerns immediately to Production Lead, HSE Lead or site Leadership team\nOperate a forklift safely to move large pallets (empty & with product) throughout facility\nOperate a clamp truck safely to move large paper rolls from warehouse to production area\nOperate the production lines, using centerline process information to maintain each product specification\nComplete and report quality testing accurately\nVisually monitors processes within their area of accountability and immediately informs the Production Lead of any deviations or abnormalities\nWork in close coordination with the Production Lead to accomplish the tasks needed to safely and efficiently meet production schedules across all processes\nCommunicate and confer with the Production Lead, as well as with Technical, Supervisory, and Support Personnel to resolve process conditions affecting safety, efficiency, and product quality\nRespond to process alarms and interlocks promptly and coordinates timely confirmation and corrective actions to resolve conditions generating the alarms and interlocks\nPerform troubleshooting in the event of process deviations\nIn this position you will have the opportunity to:\nParticipate in the Joint Health and Safety Committee to facilitate safety improvements\nCollaborate with management to meet the production and shipping schedule\nHelp to meet and exceed production, waste, and quality goals\nBecome Forklift Certified\nTo be successful, you will need:\nHigh School Diploma or GED required\nGood attention to detail required\nBe able to accurately read and use a tape measure\nMust be ok with rotating 12-hour shifts (Days/Nights continental rotation)\nMust be ok with following strict Health and Safety Guidelines and wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)\nAbility to stand, walk, and bend throughout a 12-hour shift\nAble to lift a maximum of 50 lbs.\nBasic computer skills required\nBasic math skills required, including the basic use of a calculator\nForklift experience a plus; would need to become recertified on site\nAnalytical and mechanical mindset an asset\nPrevious manufacturing experience a plus\nMajor Benefits available to full-time employees include:\nComprehensive Health Insurance: medical, dental, orthodontia (for dependents only)\nCompany paid Life & Disability InsuranceSpousal & Dependent coverage available for purchase\n\nTravel Insurance\nRegistered Pension Plan - 4% company contribution with an additional contributions for employee contributions and years of service\n\nEmployee Incentive Program (EIP) - At Arclin, success is never the result of just a single input, but a culmination of our entire team working hand-in-hand to provide value to our customers.
