Reporting into the Production Supervisor, this position is an entry level, full time position, and Operator is responsible for performing tasks and duties pertaining to the manufacturing and processing of resins and formaldehyde. This role is required to know and perform all assigned production department functions in compliance with HSE - Health, Safety and Environmental regulations and Arclin’s policies and procedures to contribute positively to an efficient and safely run operation.\nProduction Operator Job Responsibilities:\nManufactures resin and formaldehyde and/or related surfaces according to established procedures and HSE regulations.\nUnloads and loads raw materials and finished products following established procedures (tanker trailers, railcars, box trucks, and bulk trucks)\nOperates a forklift to load/unload raw materials (drums, totes, bags)\nCollaborates with management to meet the production and shipping schedule\nEnsures required shipping documents are completed and procedures are followed to be in compliance with all regulations and corporate requirements\nParticipates in the Joint Health and Safety Committee to facilitate safety improvements\nFollows all site rules and procedures as they apply to quality, health, safety, and the environment\nVisually monitors processes within their area of accountability and immediately informs the Lead Operator of any deviations or abnormalities\nWorks in close coordination with the Lead Operator to accomplish the tasks needed to safely and efficiently meet production and maintenance schedules across all processes\nCommunicates and confers with the Lead Operator as well as with Technical, Supervisory, and Support Personnel to resolve process conditions affecting safety, efficiency, and product quality\nResponds to process alarms and interlocks promptly and coordinates timely confirmation and corrective actions to resolve conditions generating the alarms and interlocks\nPerforms In-Process Checks (IPC’s) to verify batch progression and quality using laboratory equipment (GC, Titrator, pH meter, etc.)\nPerforms troubleshooting in the event of process deviations\nProduction Operator Job Requirements:\nHigh School Diploma Required or GED.\nForklift experience a plus but must be able to become certified.\n\nCapable of Driving a Tractor/Tanker unit or being able to learn.\n\nAnalytical and mechanical mindset needed to be successful in this role.\n\nPrevious chemical/ processing experience a plus.\n\nMust be ok with rotating shifts.(Days/Nights/Evenings rotating every week)\n\nMust be ok with following strict Health and Safety Guidelines and wear required PPE ( Personal Protective Equipment).\n\nAbility to sit, stand walk and climb frequently working in elevated areas.\n\nWill lift an average of 50 lbs frequently.\n\nBasic computer skills required.\n\nDCS Distributed Control Systems experience a plus\n\nBasic math skills required including the use of a calculator.\n\n**Please note: The above statements are designed to outline the functions and position requirements of this job.
