We are ARCO, a Family of Construction Companies.\nARCO/Murray National Construction is currently seeking an experienced BIM Modeler to join our team of Design Engineers and Project Managers in our Downers Grove, IL location. The BIM Modeler will play a key role in our design/build process by converting schematic or early-stage designs to 3D models using REVIT and industry-specific tools.\nA DAY IN THE LIFE\nPerform fundamental modeling tasks using Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam software applications.\nDevelop piping system models including pipe spacing, fitting makeup, valve locations, and in-line components in 3D applications\nReview manufacturers' or fabricators' prints to aid in design documents\nApply basic knowledge of building codes, standards, and other criteria in the development of project designs.\nResponsible for preparing permits and construction models for industrial building, industrial equipment and process piping design\nWork with Designers and Engineers to understand details of modeling goals\nGenerate 3D models from one line drawings and consult with other project team members to model BIM\nGather drawings and specs, calculate material and equipment requirements and set up production methods\nNECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS\n1-3 years of BIM Modeling in Commercial Industrial Building/Equipment and/or Process Piping industries\nDegree related to BIM or construction-related design and drafting\nExperience using AutoCAD, AutoCAD MEP, Revit MEP, and 3D drafting packages.\nShould be able to produce construction documents, including 3D model generation and detailing.\nExperience working on Design/Build projects is a plus\nArchitecture/mechanical background a plus.\nWHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU\nWe are dedicated to the well-being of our associates and are proud to be consistently recognized as a Best Place to Work.
