If the answer is “Yes!” then we have an exciting, long-term career opportunity for you. \nA DAY IN THE LIFE\nAttend the post-award review meeting to receive project information and details for preplanning before construction \nParticipate with the project manager in preparing a schedule of construction activities and their sequence, the organization structure, staff selection, and the manpower and construction equipment requirements of the project \nDirect and control the total construction project to meet specifications and within the allotted time schedule in an efficient manner to produce the expected profit - \nAssist the project manager/engineer in their duties including prompt shipment of materials and permanent equipment and obtaining approvals of shop drawings and material samples \nCoordinate the activities of subcontractors to permit them to perform their work effectively and to integrate it with project schedules and progress \nInform all supervisors and subcontractors promptly of any construction schedule changes \nAssist in the preparation of all job progress and cost reports to accurately reflect actual costs \nReview and approve all requisitions, field purchase orders, invoices, and other significant reports and documents \nCooperate with the owner and his representatives, keeping them informed of construction progress \nCooperate with architects or owner representatives on an amicable basis, but in the long-term interest of the company \nHold job site meetings with the project manager and the regional manager \nReport regularly to the project manager to keep them constantly informed on job progress, plans, and problems that could significantly affect costs or schedules \nMaintain a daily diary to permanently record all significant project facts, events, conditions, visitors, owner representative contacts, commitments, agreements, and approvals \nDirect adherence to the company’s safety program in all phases and areas of the project \nMake decisions under tight deadlines \nOrganize people, tools, and equipment and plan/manage multiple activities to accomplish desired results \nDemonstrate leadership skills with ability and willingness to face challenges, direct others, and effectively address conflict \nExhibit commitment to quality by evaluating project-related processes, making necessary changes, using customer input to make improvements, and meeting/exceeding internal and external customer expectations \nAct in a manner of integrity that shows support for the company, its values, and the employees while maintaining a constant focus on meeting/exceeding customer requirements and expectations \nNECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS\n5-25 years of construction experience.\n5+ years of construction experience working on HVAC-heavy commercial or industrial projects; OR A degree in construction management, engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field\nDemonstrated experience coordinating HVAC and mechanical scopes, including ductwork, piping, equipment setting, and mechanical system installation.\nExperience managing HVAC subcontractors, coordinating trade sequencing, and resolving field conflicts involving mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, and architectural scopes.\nFamiliarity with mechanical drawings, specifications, equipment submittals, RFIs, and installation requirements.\nExperience coordinating HVAC equipment delivery, installation, startup, testing, adjusting, and balancing (TAB), and commissioning activities.\nAbility to identify potential mechanical scope conflicts, schedule constraints, and installation issues before they affect project milestones.\nUnderstanding of HVAC quality control requirements, jobsite safety procedures, and applicable construction codes and standards.\nExperience coordinating with project managers, engineers, design teams, commissioning agents, and owners to support successful project execution.\nComputer skills: proficiency in using Word, Excel, Outlook, and project scheduling programs.\nExperience with construction management software such as Procore is preferred.\nOSHA certification and familiarity with safety protocols.\nPossess and maintain a current, valid driver's license in your state of residence.\nAbility to travel to project sites as needed.\nAbility to meet the physical demands of the job, including but not limited to standing or walking for long periods of time, occasionally on uneven terrain, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing stairs, and/or lifting heavy loads of up to 50 pounds.\nWHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU\nWe are pleased to provide our associates with a holistic compensation and benefits package which includes:\nVehicle allowance, per diem, and living expenses on traveling jobs \nAn airplane ticket home every 2 weeks when traveling \nBusiness expenses and mileage reimbursement \nIndustry-leading performance-based bonus program \nEmployee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) \nTraditional and Roth 401k \nTuition reimbursement for associates \nScholarship for associates’ children up to $28,000 per child \n1-month paid sabbatical after every five years of employment, plus $5,000 for travel \n1-week paid volunteer leave each year \n100% charitable match \nMedical, dental, and vision insurance coverage \nPaid parental leave \nAt ARCO, our first core value is to treat people fairly and do the right thing.
